Wish I had a need for one of these power stations

    • What are the generally used for? Emergency back ups?

      • +1

Yeah, whatever you want. Keep your appliances running during a power outage, camping, market stall, etc.

They're great for people who don't want to wrap their head around 12/24V systems with inverters and DCDC chargers and everything.

The downside is that when the battery goes, the whole unit goes.

Good price for the battery, with a bonus panel (given the price).

A 220w panel (RRP) price of $629 is… an interesting RRP.

Max 500w solar input, means you could get away with 1 single mainstream panel though.

I think the limitation of 20 mins worth of output at the max of 2400w (with x-boost) could be a dealbreaker for some.

Decent deal thou at around 1kw for $1.2k of portable power (inc about $200 for panel objective price).

Solar Panels are a dime a dozen on marketplace.
I got a refurb river pro ebay for $399 when it was available.
These are really good for fridges, and charging devices for a few days camping. Don't expect to run anything heavy for more than an hour.

Also look at the Delta 2 Max also. 2048Wh battery + 2x 500 Watt solar ports + 2x XT150 expansion ports.

  • Could you rig something like this to take a couple of appliances over to solar only? Eg. plug in two fridges permanently but set a timer for it to only charge during daylight hours? I’m guessing these aren’t designed as permanent solutions like that?

I did the maths, electricity would need to be about $0.49 / kWh for this to breakeven for me.
