I grabbed a set of these on black friday for work after my old headset bit the dust. The microphone is really good on it, the battery life of 20 hours is very questionable though (I haven't timed it but I'm definitely not spending 20 hours using it before it starts beeping at me to charge it). Sound quality takes a bit of playing around with for music but it's not as awful as some of the amazon reviews make it sound.

I find them really comfortable, if a bit warm (but that's to be expected in summer with a big padded headset). There are cooling gel earpads on amazon though.

The USB was cutting out on me, but that turned out to be my USB dock overheating. The USB dongle is apparently the most sensitive thing to that though, nothing else was cutting out (camera, monitors, etc) but cooling it off made the headset work again.

Most of the negatives on Amazon are related to battery life and range. I also bought a pair during the black friday deals for the same price and can say that those are warranted, battery life is definitely not 20 hours. I think the low battery alert starts sounding maybe after 8 hours of use after a full charge for me. Range is also bad, once I leave the room the audio starts to cut out, not great if I want to listen to music and walk around.

Audio is also not great out of the box with its original eq settings, I installed the dolby app and activated dolby atmos and tried a few custom eq settings I found online for it and although I have different setups for music, gaming and movies I feel the audio quality is very good now.

It also has a lot of audio leakage out of the headsets and even if music isn't too loud others around you could still hear it quite easily.

For the price I thinks its very good. Audio quality is great if you adjust the eq settings, battery life is still good although not as advertised and comfortable.

But if you want the best of the best gaming headsets I'd suggest the Astro A50 or Audeze Maxwell.

I was going to get this too but then I found a turtle beach stealth 700 gen 2 max for $191.44 on Amazon so I decided to pay a bit more for that instead.

    • How are they on PC? works well without trouble?

    • I've had Turtle Beach in the past and have not been impressed, hopefully the newer ones are much better. How is the stealth 700 gen 2 max?

The review seems to be quite good. I will let you know once I receive it.

Frankly, having these headphones and doing the chore of returning it back to Amazon when the price wasn't adjusted… they are definitely worth vile. Fits pretty comfy (even with glasses), Mic is fantastic (main reason for purchase), and battery is just enough to get by. 8/10
