Stacking the 10% off on your first order via the app plus the $100 trade-in bonus until the 8th of Jan gets you down to at least $1771.28 (minus whatever the actual trade-in's value is). The non-edu store has a better trade-in bonus, but it doesn't even get you down to the raw edu store pricing, so if you have an edu email, this is far more worth it.

Probably okay if 1tb model
the 1TB model is also discounted, but it's not under $2000 like the 256GB model
No way I’m getting another foldable in another 2 years at least. Got a fold 4, the screen wouldn’t turn on just under 1 year and fortunately had it repaired (replaced) under warranty. The reliability is just not yet there…won’t bother to get one for a while now…
Thanks for letting us know
Same here for my fold 4
Screen protectir peeled and has to send it in for replacement.
Now the inner screen wont work. Wifi module also doesnt work. Gotta send it in again
all fix/replace are free? turnaround is fast? shipping to and from are free?
but still too much hassle to be without our main phone, yes spare phone cheap but we need to install all the apps, sign ins, all the banking apps, security things, etc
DAMN now i regret getting fold5yes all free but yes its a hassle. I am getting good at setting up my phone back to where it was consistently. very time consuming.
@Turbonetics: oh yeah we need to factory reset the fold before sending forgot about it! omg it is madness way worse than just hassle - hours hours loss and we paid thousands dollars! wow the corporations are really smart and as usually we are the donkey, imagine some people paying RRP on release date. what was it…. $2,600!
@CyberMurning: No dont need to factory reset anymore like the old days.
they will put it in maintenance mode now which lets them access the phone without going to your personal account.
the annoying part for me is setting up the temporary phone.
@Turbonetics: we can send with fingerprint lock etc ? hmm okay thats not too bad
@CyberMurning: Yeah thats right. You have to be logged in to the phone with your account and then select maintenance mode.
Once in Maintenance mode, from my understanding is like another duplicate operating system on your phone but it doesnt have any of your personal data or settings in it. The techs can then use it like a normal phone without any pin or passwords or locks
Yes, it’s free. However, bear in mind that it broke just about “1 month” before the end of the 1 year warranty Samsung offered (yes yes yes, I know Aus consumer law says blah blah blah).
I was lucky in my case (warranty wise) and to Samsung’s credit, they replaced the screen within 3 business days without many questions asked. However, it’s a big hassle (since we are WAY MORE reliant on our phone these days) and it surely as hell still feel like it’s a gamble.
And yes, before they took it in they asked for my consent to wipe clean the phone and it did come back wiped cleaned…grrrr!!!
@bagachin: hmm turbonetics case different he got it back not clean
Flip 4 user here, main screen died after 1 year and got it repaired under warranty. The repair took about 3 days and they factory reset the phone as part of the repair. Store rep said it's a common issue. I'm getting rid of this phone as I'm pretty sure it'll happen again in a year's time and I'll be out of warranty by then.
The flip/fold 5 have a different fold and hinge design, with a more gentle curve radius when folded — like other foldables on the market. Hopefully the issue that's clearly prevalent on the older samsung foldables isn't as prevalent anymore with this new design
The fold is now 40% until tomorrow, if anyone is interested. Plus 10% for first time user of the app, and $100 bonus for trade in plus trade in offer.
I just bought the 512gb version, with a trade in for iphone 12 128gb. All up $1073.96Without the extra 10% or trade in the price are as follows:
$1559.40 256GB
$1679.40 512GB
$1889.40 1 TBHow much you get for that iPhone? If alot then 1073.96 is not too good
$375 plus $100, so $475.
It's my daughter's phone which I got off marketplace for $500.
She's used it for a year so I think it's a good price
No thanks.
