Friend was looking to buy one from JB Hifi but quick bit of searching found it on discount at amazon. Apple stuff rarely on sale so posting here for anyone else on the lookout.

Would be good if these were designed to fit a few next to each other ( multi tap system ). Seems very wide.
Why would I go with this over the Holman WX1 and WX2 devices I already use? This is almost twice the price as the WX1!
Holman seem to have bad reviews on the bunnings website?
Holman got the best customer service.
I've gotten 3 Holman's for the past 6 months and have had zero problems so far.
I use the Holman WX1 devices all around my yard. They work brilliantly - simple to set up and reliable as. And you can control up to four devices from one hub. The only complaint I have is that they do chew through the batteries. But WX1s are a LOT cheaper than Eve Aqua.
How close to your router does the wifi hub (and tap) need to be - I’ve seen mixed reviews about the distances?
Understand Eve is on discount, but have you looked at this one? I am on the fence, the one I just posted seem to have really good reviews.

Was thinking of getting the one that you linked as well. Seems a lot more solid.
I bought the Linktap one to prepare for a few days away during Christmas. Did look at the Eve Aqua too but decided with Linktap because it works out cheaper. I needed one for the front garden and another for the backyard. Really happy with them so far.
I picked up an Eve Aqua about 2 years ago, got it as has HomeKit native and I had a couple of other Eve accessories. Over all I’ve. Been happy with it, there is the occasion it fails to register a command from the app, but put that down to its threaded comms. It’s passed the WAF as my wife will use it to turn on and off the water for watering back yard.
Only thing I don’t like was the price.
This was on sale even further a few weeks ago as you will on camelcamelcamel.
