Same.. All I read and hear is that Roborock is the way to go. With my meager budget that's an impossibility.
Unless you are in a rush wait for the q revo from Roborock to come in at sub $1000.. however if only auto emptying is the goal.. that maybe overkill.. plenty of decent buys under $500 with a self cleaning station.. no object avoidance and no mopping rather no effective mopping and limited control via the apps but in terms of vaccuming and auto emptying all work fine

Ive found i really do not need the emptying station.. 4 Bedroom house can do 4 vacuum cycles before it alerts needing an empty.
I also do not use the mop function either as its just not that great.

bought the Ecovacs Omni X2 at JB $1999 - there are some mapping issues and the software is not perfect but better than I expected based on what people are saying online. The docking station is impressive, drying the pads is a must function otherwise they smell.
Ordered one to replace the Ecovacs Deebot X1 Plus.
