    My housemate plays FIFA and has destroyed every controller he's ever gotten his hands on including two of mine :_(

      I have played several versions of the game. It is the only game thay damages my controllers. Wether xbox or sony.
      
      The joystick and triggers are the main areas damaged.
      
      I guess the game has rapid button use, estensive button use, and can also be stressful. So you might hit the buttons a bit harder than required.
      
      One thing i also do is hold onto the sprint trigger when i dont need to, as it acts as both a crutch and saves time. But it also increases risk of damage.
