Are these steam keys or linked to your steam library?

    • +4

you get keys to redeem on steam & only origin [EA App] for Wild Hearts, Takes Of Kenzera which also must be redeemed by October 3rd, 2025 along with Pacific Drive the rest have no time to redeem limit

I would add to this that there's been a troubling rise in people reporting keys in their bundle being "out of stock" and taking months (in some cases years!) to be restocked. My advice would be if you're buying the bundle, redeem your keys immediately to avoid any risk.

        • +1

It also indicates that buying this later in the month, the risk of this is far higher.

  • +3

    Homeworld 3 is rubbish apparently.

    • +2

If you're a fan of the earlier entries in the series it's a travesty.

      • Damn, that's a shame even the desert one was decent.

  • +11

Last months bundle had a headliner be an Origin key (Immortals of Aveum), this month has two more Origin keys.

In my eyes, the value of Humble Choice is falling rapidly.

    • +6

They have also started adding expiry dates to the keys so you can't hold them long term :(

      • Which is BS as you paid for it, its so they can resell them later I guess

It's Pacific drive scary (jumpscares)? I watched the trailer and it looked ok (nothing scary)

    • +4

No jumpscares but generally just an eerie/creepy vibe to it. I finished it last year and I loved it

      • How many hours did it take you to finish?

I've got it sitting there on my PS5 but haven't started it yet. I always agonise over what game to start next, usually depending on if I'm willing to sink a whole lot of time into a game or if I want something a bit shorter. I generally prefer the shorter ones.

        • +1

I played through it in 60 hours. Its an unusual game, and worth the money here

        • +1

57 hours for me - a few upgrades for the garage and car. Didn't make it to the 3rd engine though.

    • Not scary, it has a fairly tame PG rating. Absolutely fantastic game though. Excellent tech tree progression that keeps you going for hours.

    • +1

Also important to note it's very rogue-like. You take your car into the various zones to gather resources, then return to your workshop.
I thought it was much more of a level-based story game before I started. You end up griding through levels to get enough resources to breach the next area and continue the story.

Great atmosphere and design but the do-a-run-and-do-another needed to be more obvious in the marketing info I think.

As a longtime humble subscriber, i'm very disappointed to see EA Origin keys creeping into the last few bundles…

  • +14

Pacific Drive might be worth the cost of entry alone, but it's still a bold move to follow that up with games that have a 38% and 48% positive rating.

    • +3

Yep, just cancelled my membership after 8 years. Got sick of getting excited every month - like I did in the early days - then getting disappointed and having to go through the tedious process of pausing my membership.
You'd think with games getting cheaper and cheaper, and devaluaing faster and faster after release, they could offer some half-decent games like they did at the start.

    • -2

Yeah 2 sub 50% games is appalling. Zau was a flop too. High rating is probably because only ‘modern gamers’ actually bought it.

      • -3

Well downvote me all you want but Zau being a flop is an objective fact. The game director made racist statements and informed gamers stayed away. It is a reasonable inference, though unprovable, that the high score is only because very few people with a who enthusiastically support a similar world view bought the game. Had the game been purchased by a wider audience, it is my belief that the review scores would have been much lower.

As far as 2 games with a score under 50% is concerned (in case that was the reason for the downvote), I though that humble had some kind of policy, writen or implied, that they didn't put low ranked games in their bundles. I don't think I've ever seen a game with a score of less than 65% and that would be a rare exception. Usually they are 70% or higher.

So now I have to decide if I want to pay for a month I don't want in order to keep my 6 month discount active. I had hoped maybe we would get a couple of people in the thread talking about games other than Pacific Drive, which has been much hyped (probably deserved) and doesn't interest me at all, otherwise I would have already bought it.

I could get it just to try to trade the keys, but Origin Keys are worthless as trade as are sub-70% games, and nobody in the trading scene is going to want Zau no matter now many downvotes I get for my post.

  • +1

I think I will pick this one up as I've had my eye on Pacific Drive for a while; seems like an interesting title. Seeing more Origin keys this month doesn't inspire confidence though. If that trend continues I'm unlikely to purchase in the future.

  • Skipped last month, I'll be getting this bundle today, as I've wanted to try Homeworld 3.

  • +2

If not for the origin keys, I might have actually got this bundle

  • -1

Man, these last few months have been rough, glad I skipped. EA keys may as well be wasted bytes with how bad the app can be.

    • It won’t even load on my PC, long standing issue across multiple OS reinstalls. Stand alone and steam versions won’t launch.
