If you have a BigW nearby you can save an extra $1. From Wed prices are $58 for portal owners pack and $68 for starter pack (Page 3 of the catalog - http://images.lasoomedia1.com.au/imageicon/bgw/prod/j0052219…). They also have the figures on sale at $16 for Giants, $14 for Lightcore and $12 for Series 2. Triple Packs are $24.

  I'm not sure if it's the same with Skylanders (due to its packaging) but I would rather pay the extra $1 and get a sealed copy from JB. I bought Max Payne 3 from Big W when it came out and I had to sit through the woman behind the counter bumbling around with the game disc as she retrieved it from the draws and clumsily attempting to put it in the double disc tray on the wrong side. It was painful.

  Also checked last week with Toys r Us and they will price match Big W in pre-sales and they have the added benefit if you purchase from them you can buy at half price a Skylanders Giants Legendary Bouncer.

    And Target have something similar. Starter pack for $79 but it comes with a bonus Giant single character.
