I think the email is not instant now. It takes up to 24 hrs. The merchant name will be adjusted to Special Gift Card after settlement.

@Neoika: Thanks for confirming. Like you mentioned, I noticed the merchant name changing after the transaction posted and I got an email from Amex saying I've used the offer.

That description is fine. IIRC it will eventually update to KARTA Co but I have definitely had that merchant name show up before so don't stress.
I would give it a few days though mate. Christmas and Boxing Day public holidays+ the weekend has put a slowdown on transaction processing.

Yes, you should be able to use the Woolworths card to buy gift cards. I was able to buy a Wish Gift Card with it on the last promo so I'd expect 3rd party GCs will also work.
I was not able to use a Woolworths card to purchase Roblox and Nintendo GCs. @digitalane did you have success?

@digitalane: Circling back. I was able to use the Special Woolworths card to buy 2 x $50 TCN "Gift" gift cards yesterday at the same Woolies that denied the Roblox and Nintendo GCs.

No it didn’t turn redeemed but of course after writing this comment (lol) I get an email confirmation today 6/1 for my purchase on 26/12. Never experienced such a delayed email confirmation.

After I bought a super shopper of $100 , I got an email from Amex confirming I have used that deal. Can I now buy another $100 of super shopper and get the same deal again? It said “ Get 10% back one-time, up to $20 back”.

I would expect that the "one-time" means that you can only receive credits on this deal once and so will only get the initial $10. Subsequent purchases won't be honoured.

It says to wait 15 business days or up to 90 days to follow up. I hope they sort it out so I don't need to follow up.
I think the issue may be the time setting behind the scene that may cause your purchase made before offer saved. You may notice that Coles Gift MasterCard balance check shows UK time, i.e. your purchase may be recorded one day earlier. I am not surprised that Karta Co may have recorded your purchase on the 13th.
The best way is to make purchase after the offer saved for 24 hours.
Bought the shopper but can't find option to swap to Woolworths or Coles. It says warning we can't use groceries anymore. It that just recently?
It is a MasterCard to be added to your digital wallet. If can't be bothered, Amazon/eBay AU also accepts it.
Kmart, Big W and some other brands under the Big Two may accept it so that there are some ways to access groceries giftcards.

i thought this is like a super swap card thing where we buy a card then swap to one or many other cards.
so if bought $200, i dont have to swap to $50 amazon giftcard then enter that gitfcard to amazon website, then swap $30 to ebay etc etc
Nope, no need to swap for anything - you use it as a prepaid debit card - it's just locked to certain retailers etc.
The main benefit is that, since it's not a gift card, you can buy anything at those stores including other gift cards on Amazon and other retailers.
E.g. you can buy physical Wish/Coles Myer Group gift cards in-store at Big W/Target/K-mart, or if there's a promotion for discounted gift cards on Amazon etc (Amazon stopped allowing the use of account balance to buy gift cards)

MCC 5411 (which is the merchant category code typically used by supermarkets and grocers, including Coles, Woolworths, ALDI, IGA, Harris Farms, etc) was blocked on Special gift cards in late November 2022.
It seems that Amex doesn't work on the Special Card app to purchase Super Shopper card either. The payment was declined just now. Anyone has had that issue recently?

I got mine to eventually go through after some days and attempts, I purchased $205 instead of $200, although I have no idea if that has anything to do with it going through.
I've not had any issues personally, and I've bought this deal on 3 different AmEx cards.
I did log in first to Special and used a PC that I've used those AmEx cards previously, so it automatically verified and approved it. Is it an AmEx that has been used on that browser previously?
Thanks for all your tips. No it isn't an Amex card used previously. I have now tried with Edge and Firefox; a new PC; tried to use Amex to buy Special Woolworths, Super Shopper, tried $205… none worked. Oh well. Will see if it works tomorrow. Not looking good.
Try a new/different Special account. I couldn't get it to work on one so logged into another one (relative) and it worked with exactly the same AMEX card.
Has anyone received the $20 credit from amex yet?
