Instant (Free) Status Match KrisFlyer Gold to Marriott Bonvoy Gold @ Singapore Airlines

210

Not sure if this qualifies as a deal. Lot of folks here have got Star Alliance Gold status courtesy of HSBC CC. Some of us chose Gold Status with Krisflyer.

KrisFlyer is now offering instant Bonvoy Gold Status match for Kris Gold. There are other reciprocal benefits available with all details in the below link.

If you hold KrisFlyer Elite Gold, PPS Club or Solitaire PPS Club status, you’re now automatically eligible for an instant status match to the Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite tier
This status level usually requires 25 qualifying night stays per year.

Bonvoy Gold Elite status is then valid for at least 12 months from your date of registration.

For example, if you register in December 2023, you’ll receive Bonvoy Gold Elite status through the end of 2023, for all of 2024, and until February 2025.

After that, status renewal is then based on the usual Marriott Bonvoy programme rules, so choose your registration date carefully if you don’t think you will be able to hold on to this tier long-term, to maximise the benefits on as many stays as you can.

  • Virgin gold offers Hilton Gold and Hertz Gold. Good benefits at both airlines for a sneaky upgrade

Marriott gold doesn’t really offer much.

Yep - Platinum is where you see real benefits like Bfst come in.
Having said, that I've got upgraded rooms by flashing Marriott Gold in Bora-Bora, Nice, Santorini etc… Gold status is useful for non US properties…

People always rag on Accor Gold and I get a free beer and a room upgrade at every hotel that I’ve been to this year. Hilton was useless never once got an upgrade and the free breakfast I was forced to tip for it anyway, but I was in the US using it .
