  • Have this TV. Great TV.

  • This or Sony x90l…

Very similar TVs. Samsung has better black and grey uniformity however Sony has Google TV and Dolby Vision.

    • +1

      Definitely Sony

      • Why? What about Mini LED vs Full Array LED?

        • +2

Ive had nothing but issues with Samsung displays in the past, both tvs and monitors. Also, Samsung has no dolby vision.

Minileds are also FALDs, but better so miniled.

          • @ozchobie: Interesting I've had SONY TVs and had nothing but woes. Terrible software/updates, can't even call it a smart tv. I just use the Google TV/Chromecast extension to use it like a smart TV.

I've loved my Samsung monitor so much that I'm keen to switch everything to Samsung. (Samsung AU store customer service isn't great though)

            • @Kobeee: I only have LG OLEDs now at home hehe. That being said, buy the tv for the panel and not the OS. Always use a media player for a better experience. I use Apple TVs for my tv and the new Google Chromecsst for a spare office monitor, switched from Nvidia shields a couple of years ago. Although the shields were better than tv os, they were quite buggy for me too. Apple TV just works and gets regularly updated.

    • The main reason you'd get this is for the central stand if you had a narrow TV cabinet.

  • Have this and it's a great model.

  • Does anyone have a recommendation for TVs for a budget of 1k ?

    • tcl 845 has been ticking everyones boxs so far for a decent price.

    • Highly dependent on what size you're after.

  • +1

not sure how this years models stack up but. i had both the tcl c835 and the qn85b the qn85b was better in nearly every way possible.
