What's The Difference between Bodywash / Facewash / Handwash / Footwash?

Ain't they doing the same thing to the same organ of our body? Can I use them interchangeably?

Bodywash is for the body. Facewash is for the face. Handwash is for washing the hands. And footwash is for washing your elbows with.

      Isn't it better term: elbowash?

    • Classic case of marketing to get you to buy more wash products.
Soap does everything and does the best job and is the cheapest solution.

      • Would you say all the dishwashing liquid are the same?
        Are all water the same?
Do you wash your dishes with a cheap bar of soap? Weird

        • Off subject which is "Bodywash / Facewash / Handwash / Footwash"

    Can I use them interchangeably

    Duff, Duff dry, Duff light…

  • Different perfume added. They are all made mostly from water, with sodium lauryl sulphate, or an equivalent synthetic detergent.
Any is better than soap for your skin etc.

For the most part l, for most people, they’re functionally one in the same

That being said, I also have pretty bad eczema and the way my hands react, they know the difference between body wash and hand wash. Each of those have stronger cleaning ingredients with body wash being the most gentle. Cheap handwash soaps are the worst because it will strip my skin of its natural oils and it gets inflamed (before working out how to contain it all I would be up for half the night scratching my hands).

On the advice of dermatologist I use a dermatologically tested, fragrance free, blah, blah, blah body wash in my soap dispensers at home and it makes a world of a difference on how inflamed my hands get. Body wash is the most gentle

TLDR: if you don’t have allergies it makes near on no difference. If you have allergies your body will tell you the difference between the two

    Solvol, or go home.

    • Sadly they removed their bars of soap from sale some time ago :(

      • DIY= Wet soap + crushed pumice. Mmmm

put any of them in a pink container and charge 3 times the price.

Facewash most likely has less fragrances and irritants, and more ingredients that help skin issues.
I can tell/feel the difference between different type of facewashes alone.

All of them start life as a generic colourless, odourless medium, that is tweaked to exploit the gimboid masses. The original product is called Hogwash.
It's still the same Hogwash shite you pay top dollar for and smear on yourself, no matter what the label says.
    . Enjoy

    • Facewash is for your face.
    • Handwash is for your hands.
    • Footwash is for your foot.
      • I've actually never seen or used footwash.
    • Bodywash is for your body.
      • You can also use it on your hands and foot.
      • You should not use it on your face.
      • You should also not use it on your head and hair.

Or just buy a nice bar of soap. Cheaper, lasts longer, and you can stick it wherever you feel like

don't bend over in the shower if you drop it

    • Soap isn't ideal for your face as it dries it out

  • My uncle overseas used to use Laundry powder for everything so YMMV

  • The main difference is the price tag.

I was reading (listening to) a book from the library a while back and it mentioned that due to restrictions on the amount of some ingredients to safe levels, one tactic is to specify a small area for use e.g. 'hand cream'. That way, even though the ingredient is still in the cream, if you only use as directed on hands, then you don't go over the safe level of exposure.

I think it might have been 'the case against fragrance'? Sorry if that's the wrong book

  • After face sitting
    buy a face sitting wash?

  • Just go to a mirror and compare the skin on your face to your palm. Are they the same? Then now compare your palm and your foot.
I don't care about body, hand or footwash(what foot?!) But I know face wash should be face wash.

  • Visited the younger brother recently, he asked for some words of wisdom off the older brother this year. His reply was:
"wash your face before your a/hole)"….😂

Sorry this post just reminded me of it again.😳
