Anyone actually find this size in their coles store? Cant seem to find this size in my local

    • +2

Can’t find it in my Coles either

    • +2

You can usually check stock on coles website by selecting the store. If there's no stock it will say 'shop similar' instead of 'add to trolley'

Although I've had issues where website said add to trolley but when I went into store there weren't any available, so you might need to ask them for it in that case.

It is a special Christmas promo product and I found it in the section where they have their promotions. It was not in the chocolate isle.

      • A chocolate isle is where I want to be marooned!

        • +1

You might have to settle for an aisle though

  • Travelled down to unley coles and no stock but castle plaza have some in boxes of five in aisle 3 on the top shelf. Not on display with smaller 360gm blocks. Thanks OP best price per gram for years

It looks like nobody else has said this, so maybe I just had bad luck but:

The last time I bought Toblerone it was incredibly bland. The little almond flecks got stuck in my teeth had the texture of plastic chips - they didn't soften like food should. I threw out half of one of these big bars because I couldn't stand eating it.

This was genuine Toblerone and not past due date. Maybe I was unlucky, but between the switch from pyramids to flat triangles I figured they were just cutting costs even more and using lower quality ingredients.

    • The flecks stick around longer than the rest of the bar yeah but bland? Sure your tastebuds are working? :)

    WoW have it for $9

Went to two stores to get some and no luck. Even did online order and not available unfortunately.

  • Is it online only?
    Cannot check local stock otherwise.

    Having chocolate withdrawals … help … :-|

I have no argument with the ten dollar special… it's that "originally $28" that outrages me. Toblerone is quite a decent sweet, but if the company was — at some time — trying to get away with selling it at slightly more than thirty-seven dollars a kilo, then they must think we are all fools. It's not exactly hand-made, is it?

    • That's exactly what shrinkflation is.

The sizes are getting smaller and costs goes up. So when there is a sale it looks like this magical low low price causing people to go on a frenzy to buy it.

Anyone who cares about money is definitely not buying this at full price of $28 for 750g. You can get heaps better quality chocolate for less. Ultimately chocolate is a luxury item and people buy when they can afford it.

    • Calm down, nothing to get outrage about. It is after all their product, they are free to set any price they want but question is will they get the sale? If the market thinks they're overcharging at $28 then nobody will buy them (except maybe for some fools) and so they reduce it to $10 and that's how we got here today.

    Almost 4got… but got 4 more! 😋

  • +1

Got two and the reason not sold out was no price tag.

    • Likewise at my local.
They're in a separate area with a few other chocs, but no pricing on them at all.

    Ordered online and got 2 750 g. Subbed the other 2 for 4 X 360g

    • You've been duped 2x30g but it is likely a preferred outcome over a refund.

      • Mine got subbed for a single 360g bar as it had a higher unit price

        • +3

I would not have accepted that swap.

          • +1

@CodeXD: Didn't, got partially refunded and bonus coles credit for the ringmarole. Came out a better deal overall

    • Hey at least the 4 360g can still be stacked into a 1.44kg triangle shape for wrapping an xmas gift.

    • +1

My click and collect order of 1 x 750g bar, was substituted with 3 x 360gm bars.

That's actually better, 3 gifts now, instead of just one

      • Nice. They're possibly reacting to being caught with their pants down with the price lock "error" and not wanting some of their other (mal)practices being noticed during the govt enquiry. Substituting something of lesser value/size/quality is probably illegal but just as importantly it's anti-consumer - the people Coles loves to claim they're helping.

  • Managed to track down 3 at Coles Jamison in the ACT this evening. There were still at least half a dozen left. If you're trying your luck they were at the end of an aisle diagonally adjacent to the bakery counter, or just up from the bread (across the aisle).

    • I actually click and collect mine from dickson Coles!

  • So disappointed they haven't done the white toblerone this year!

  • +3

Bought 3 without issue from my local Coles, cheers OP.

    • Lucky you only got 3… 1 more and you'd be negged! 🤣🤣🤣

  • +1

Not tagged at my local coles. Was not in the regular chocolate aisle. Was in a corner with the rest of the Christmas promo chocolates.

  • +2

I've stocked up ready for Christmas. 9 X 750g toblerones for family/friends to take home. And one 4.5kg for breaking at the Christmas table

  • Still about 20x at Forest Hill SC Coles outside of the Liquorland roller door. They weren't at the normal chocolate isle.

This brand support the illegal Israeli occupation of Palestinian lands

    • Don't like the annexation one iota, nor do I countenance the obliteration of the state of Israel supported by many Arab extremists, but the business/occupation thing is a can of worms. Cursory look here suggests a tenuous link at best. Are Mondelez & subs pro-actively anti-Palestinian? On balance is Mondelez doing unconscionable things? If so then avoid their other brands Cadbury, Milka, Oreo, Philadelphia Cream Cheese….. Here's a good reason to support Toblerone: https://www.haaretz.com/world-news/2019-01-14/ty-article-opi…

Not my neg btw. Businesses actively operating in the "occupied" territory ought to be put in a rational spotlight, which excludes most of the wallies on TikEffingTok/FB/pick-your-own-mindless-SM-platform.

Look at their previous comments, all copy/paste of the same message. No point in engaging.

        • Thanks for the hint. Narrow minds and simplistic ideas aren't conducive to having rational discussion, let alone finding solutions to hugely complex issues.

I ordered online yesterday and got the C&C 3 x 750g bar today from my local Coles, cheers OP.

  • Still on sale, though must say taste terrible compared to the smaller sizes. Noticed the same with m&m bulk packs.

    • Can't see why it would be so but I've found the 500ml bottles of Fever Tree ginger beer were slightly less flavourful and fizzy than the 200ml.
