There is an update from the previous deal. No VPN Required.
For Comparison prices in Australia it's $19.99 per month or $79.99 per year.

3.There is a question Where do you live?
Select Turkey and enter a Turkish Postal Code. (e.g 497202)

4.Enter your email to register for an account.

5.Verify your account via email.

5.5. For people with existing account. Log in to your account —> Top left Corner. Click Profile—> Edit Profile. Change country to Turkey and enter a Turkish Postcode.

and a lot of people wanting a new years resolution, this will come handy

to waste less money on that resolution when you quit and give up by the second week in Jan?
    good idea :)

    • +15

      Atleast it's only ~$6.86 instead of $79.99 . 😉

    • +6

It's more effective to give up on your resolutions in December and avoid any disappointment…

Or you can just get the cracked apk 👀

  • Can you take advantage of this, if you already have an account?

    • I haven't tried it with pre existing account. New account definitely works. But pre existing account I wouldn't think so.

    • +3

Yes, my account is a million years old still works :)

    • How good is the app?

  • I changed my current AU account to Turkey location and postcode. The yearly sub became $129.99. It didn't say AU$ or TL$ so I did not proceed.

    • New account it's too easy. Maybe wait until your subscription finishes. And sign up fresh. Or cancel your current one since you are paying big bucks for it. And make a new sign up.

      • Just confirmed it is TRY129.99

  • +2

Just changed my AU account to turkey on my PC and then used the method to buy a year for TL 129!

    • Awesome!! Nice savings $$ 😉

    • Thought about it and works for me as well. Cheers :)

    • +2

This works for me too thanks.
Go to settings -> my profile -> edit my profile -> location -> Turkey.
Then the price changed to Turkish lira for me.

      • Did it actually show the lira symbol? Mine is still showing as $. I'm still in a free trial but it ends next week.

  • +1

I thought you just download the app(torrent) LOL.

What's the full version give you? I thought the free version gave you the basics which is basically all you need.

    Solid price tho.

    • I too thought the free version gave you everything.
Might be a cheap price, but no need to pay if not necessary.

  • +1

Is this better than Apple fitness? I did have myfitnesspal few years ago and it was involved in a data breach, I’m willing to try it again tho if it’s better than Apple fitness

  • +2

FYI My fitness pal got caught in a data breach no so long ago

  • Thanks op, worked fine, cost me $6.86 instead of $129 here 😁

  • Can someone please let me know how to get it to work on an a free account that I have already created in the past?

    • +2

Log in to your account. Top left Corner. Click Profile—> Edit Profile. Change country to Turkey and enter a Turkish Postcode.

      • It’s asking me to do a free trial first, is there a way around this?

        • +2

Free trial is part of it, then it will charge the card.

        • Take the free trial. Why not?

          • @Scrooge McDeal: Oh I was just worried about not paying now and missing out on securing the price when the time comes

      • +1

        Thanks mate

  • +1

    Thanks OP!

  • +1

Thank you fine sir! Once I woke up and realized I was stupid for trying it via the website, all was well.

  • +1

    Thanks OP!

    • +4

You are welcome. I hope the wife approves. 👍

  • Thanks OP worked it out and working flawlessly

    • +1

      Nice!! 👍 Enjoy the savings.

  • +1

    Worked a treat. Thanks OP

  • Just turned auto renewal off and have not been charged as of yet. Also states current plan cancelled.

    • +1

You need to wait to get charged first and then cancel auto renewal.

      • Thanks, seemed obvious really appreciate it.

  • Cheers Scrooge! With the free trial, I'm secured until 30 Dec 2024! Just need to remember to cancel auto-renewal after the free trial ends and I'm billed the TRY129.99. Keep up the great work!

    • Thank you! 🙏 Really appreciate it.

  • Fantastic deal. Thanks OP

  • +2

Finally got it to work. Couldn't do it on the app. Cheers

  • +1

Sweat it off when you've had too much Turkey

  • It says starts free trial? Do I do this, and just leave $10 on my debit card? It'll charge me after the free month I assume…so I get 13 months for the same price.

    • +1

      Yes on all.

      • Thanks
        Easy done

  • +2

Great deal but whats with the data sensitive consent?! Signing my life away! No thanks. I'm not usually too fussed about this stuff but the fact that you cannot do anything on the website until you consent to give them a lot of access to your data before letting you do anything else is a big no no from me. Screw companies that think I'm just going to bend over just so they can have my money AND make money from my data usage etc.

    • Like what? It only asked for my first name and some physical stats (height etc)

      • Interesting! I had an old account and managed to reset my login on desktop. Once I was in there, I couldn't get past this screen unless I was forced to tick the boxes. Here's a picture pic from Google. Same thing I'm getting. https://images.app.goo.gl/z7YBPss3xj8z9m6K7

  • Made a new account with my spam email, used a Revolut virtual card for payment.

    Thanks OP!

    • Interesting

I tried to use revolut but it rejected the single use card

      • I used a new virtual card. Never used Rev before but it seems to have worked

        • @Wolfenstein98k
Which country did you select after entering your card details? 🤔

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: I can't remember…I might've left it at Australia? I set the profile to Turkey though, and it charged my in their currency

  • Thanks heaps for this you legend!

  • Thanks op. For some reason I kept getting an error at the end when signing up on my phone but I switched a vpn on for turkey and it went through no issue

  • Thanks OP, took me a minute to do and its perfect timing changing to a healthier lifestyle!

  • The premium app claims to have a huge database of foods and features barcode scanning.
Does anyone know if Aussie products are included in the database?

    • +1

      Yes they are

      • Thank you 👍

    • If the database is coming from openfoodfacts.org then it will include all products globally.

  • Worked for me and I have an existing account. Thanks!!!

  • Awesome! Wifey and I use the free version, keen to get on the premium version :)

    • +1

what are you looking for in the premium?

I find this app is useful for a bit to fine tune eating habits, but isn't needed long-term.

Do you like to use it all the time?

  • How does this compare to MyNetDiary?

  • Thanks mate! Was using another app after the basic features moved to premium, but at this price, back to MFP.

  • @Scrooge McDeal
When entering payment information, it asks for the country.
Should I be entering Australia or Turkey?
Also, my NAB Visa charges international fees. It won't be much but is that an issue when subscribing to this deal?
I note too that the currency is showing as TRY and not TL. 🤔

    • +1

If I remember correctly Turkey should do.

    • Did you have any issues with your bank charging international fees for the deal? How much fee do they charge ? And how much did you end up paying ?

  • +1

Has anyone tried applying this deal on their Android device? I've followed all steps: loaded and connected to VPN in Istanbul, changed location, timezone and zip code to Istanbul, even restarted app.
It's saying annual subscription is $65?
I'm thinking it's because it's tied to my Google Play account?

    • +1

      I thought you didn't need a VPN.
I created an account on my PC, selected Turkey and a Turkish postcode and got the Turkish payment screen without using a VPN.
I haven't proceeded because I don't know which country to select with payment details.
The OP appears to be MIA.

      • +1

Seems I was right, at least partly in that it was picking up on Google Play account or something when it said $65.
I ended up just logging via Chrome browser, though still on my android. Worked fine.
The confusing bit for me was the cost, as it said "TRY 129.99”. As it turns out "TRY" is the Turkish Lira equivalent of AUD, which I did not know before.
Ended up costing me $6.84, plus whatever my bank decides to charge for international transaction fee 🤷🏻‍♂️

        • I'm assuming that you took the offer of 1 month free trial and hopefully you are only charged $6.84 plus the international transaction fee when the trial finishes 🤞
Did you select Australia or Turkey after entering your payment details?

    • +1

Watch out I just did this and it charged me $65 AUD

      • Mine said it would charge me the smaller amount in Turkish after the 1 month trial?

        You saying it switches?

        • +1

I switched my MFP account to Turkey and it did switch from $129 to $65 and I accepted it and was instantly charged $65AUD.

Put in a refund request with Google, wish me luck :P

  • I use EasyDietDiary. Has anyone used this and MyFitnessPal?

  • To be honest, Google Fit won't sync.

I only use the food tracking, I think it's in the free version anyways.

  • Thanks heaps!

  • Works on desktop, change to Turkey and just google a postcode and will give you the offer, no VPN

    Thanks!

  • Worked on Desktop. Thank you very much.

  • Thanks OP. I finally can use my oldbil account credit I wasnt able to use after the playstaion subcription fiasco.

  • Thanks OP

  • My free trial just finished, and I've now been charged the TRY price. Thanks!

  • Does anyone know why a Mastercard gift card won't work for a premium subscription?

    • +1

The prepaid credit cards are facing a lot of problems. If you're wanting a disposable number, try Revolut.

      • Thanks will do. 👍

  • +1

    Thanks OP :)

Worked on the mobile for an existing user account.

For existing users, no need to follow the steps… Simply login via chrome and chance your country, city and postcode to Turkey.

  • anyone had issue with an account after changing phones? my account wont even show the premium subscription anymore

  • OMG this is genius. Bravo sir, bravo

  • It's been a while, so hopefully someone has an answer.

My app says the trial finished on 5/8/2024, but the MyFitnessPal website says 5/8/2025, and I haven't been charged anything yet.

The app still says I have premium, though.

Has anyone had experience with this and knows how soon after the subscription ends they take the money?

  • Genius - changed my existing account to Turkey and signed up for less than $6

  • If I leave auto-renewal on, will it remain at ~$7? Or do I need to cancel and redo it?

    • Did you end up getting an answer to your question? Mine is due for renewal next month and I’m trying to decide whether I should let it renew or cancel.

      • I just cancelled to be safe, I did get an email saying the renewal would be in Turkish currency, but now when I press join premium it's in AUD. 🤷 Although just looked on the website with instructions above, it's in Turkish Lira, so should be all good

        • Ok awesome, I’ll see how gutsy I’m feeling closer to renewal date. Maybe I’ll roll the dice 😬

    • Double checked my wife's account and on the website, it still shows in TRY so I'm assuming it'll renew accordingly. ~$5 for the year is solid

  • anyone use fitbit? does changing country stuff up the linkage?
