Looks sort of nice. However some of the specs are dissapointing - 1gb ram not 2gb, No Bluetooth 4.0.
To be honest apart from the 10 point multi-touch there isn't anything to get excited about.
Please explain to me how one would use a 4.5" phone with all fingers on the screen anyway?
When you try to break it in half, all 10 fingers will be on the screen. The phone can sense this and it will dial 112 to report you for abuse.
When did 1GB of RAM become disappointing? Sure, 2GB would be nice, but it's hardly the new standard.
8 months ago. Not to mention even 2gb isn't some magical high ceiling that you will never use. It's easily one of the most important things spec wise.
I have 4 tabs open and open another app. Then I go back to the browser and it reloads and take a while to resume. You can't multi-task yet even slightly pretty much due to RAM.
There will never be enough RAM for PCs and Phones as well.
And how many devices possessed 2GB of RAM 8 months ago? Not terribly many, I'd wager. Just because the odd device had it 8 months ago, doesn't mean it's a new standard, and hence doesn't mean that anything lower is automatically disappointing.
Personally, I don't even use past 600MB on my SGS2 whilst multi-tasking, with a different launcher to boot. I think what you meant to say was that 1GB is not suitable for you. It's the average - by no means disappointing.

I'd say, for the majority of non-techies, it isn't a particularly important spec. Take the iPhone for example: until recently it was only running 512MB of RAM. No one was complaining about that being disappointing, and it ran well enough on the relatively small amount of RAM - performance isn't directly proportional to the amount of RAM. You need to stop confusing your own needs and wants, with the needs and wants of the general population.
its the new bond phone for the price of a gs3
need xperia v
YES!
I'm not a fan of this huge screen phones.
This is meant to be the upgraded version of Xperia S, but the on screen buttons are not cool with me.
They take up real estate on the screen. And if you're watching a movie, they will appear when paused or you need to access the app's on screen buttons. Say you pause and then resume, until the app's on screen buttons disappear, these on screen buttons will stay covering your screen.
The buttons bar is also thin, so it's easy to misclick. Physical buttons are usually larger than this (though I guess not larger on the Sony Xperia range).
Basically, go back to physical capacitive buttons please Sony. I like the ppi on this phone (it's 342 which is the highest of any LCD device) but the OSB is not my cup of tea.
Nice phone. It's got a very powerful Snapdragon S4 processor which is more powerful then the GS3. I heard this is the new James Bond phone is that right?
Not sure if it the Xperia T or TX that is in the movie. The phones are exactly the same internally except the TX has a removable battery. Not sure if it's worth paying much extra over the SGS3 but still not a bad price for a new release flagship.
so is TX fatter? price is still cheaper than a 32gb gs3
also how hard is it to get accessories and software updates and custom roms for sony devices?
custom roms should be pletyfull! sony doesnt lock boot loaders and is kind to modder, as they release the source unlike Samsung nowadays :(
interns of custom support this should have a better level then the GS3!
personaly i am wating to see what happens with the new nexus :P
Huh?
Flagship, and no 4G?
FFS! Why the hell did lostn get negged for having a useful and well explained opinion.
There are some full on retards in this joint!
was a kinda pointless complaint but really should apply to Android in general, not just Sony. On screen buttons are standard as of ICS if I'm not mistaken. Pretty much all phones have/are moving to on screen buttons only.
Nonsense. Neither my HTC One X or a Samsung Galaxy S3, Note, or Note II have on screen buttons. Those are all 4.0+. The only other 4.0 Android phone with on screen buttons is the Galaxy Nexus (which happened to be the first 4.0 phone).
The T's design is just an S with the light strip removed in favor of on screen buttons.
Has anyone got experience with this store, ie: their mobile return policies etc, it is much cheaper compared to Mobicity but not sure about the after purchase service.
I believe the general consensus is that they're often a pain to deal with.
This phone was a contender 'till I saw this

If that is accurate then the phone's camera is worse than the Xperia S and about on par with the Galaxy Nexus's camera. Why is Sony taking a step backwards with their phone camera? They make the bloody cameras ffs.
Nice looking phone. Might get one!
