Plenty of reddit threads about pCloud closing down accounts without warning. Giving no chance to download your data, nor providing refunds.
If they detect something in your storage they consider 'suspicious' (eg something that may look like a torrent), BAM…. account closed. Even if that file wasn't illegal. No ability to challenge, no recourse.Regardless, always encrypt your data before it goes on the cloud. Both to limit the consequence of a hacker… or to stop the company scanning YOUR stuff.
Imagine a storage company calling to tell you they went through your shit and found something they think is sketchy.
