Previously used headlight restore kits which require sanding and a bit of elbow grease.
In Jan I found these kits when I was looking for a lazier way to clean up my foggy headlights.
This was definitely easier than sending them down, just go over the headlights a few times with one of the wipes strips off the muck, then use another wipe which does the sealant. I last applied this in Jan at the start of the year and only within the last few months my headlights have gotten a bit foggy around the top edge again.
One thing I would suggest is to not use the 2nd sealant wipe. From the smell it smelt like woodworking lacquer after a few weeks I took my car through a car wash, and the lacquer started to peel off the headlights like the skin of a British man who swears he does not need sunscreen because he never burns. Instead buy a quality headlight sealant from SuperCheap/Repco etc..
The price of this kit has stayed the same since my last purchase in Jan.
So what you're saying is, the easy way doesn't work as well as the hard way? I am so surprised.
And then there is the price… that's more than the cost of some wet sandpaper sheets and a can of quality clear coat.
The sealant is essential — if you don't use the sealant or another UV protectant (e.g. clear coat), the headlights will yellow again in no time at all, wasting any and all efforts and money.
Even then, why the neg? Well that website is also sus … no contact information, no ABN, even the reviews on their own page mention difficulty in contacting the supplier!!
