Navman MiVue 920 Dashcam (Dual Channel Front & Rear) $194 + Delivery ($0 with Uber/ C&C/ in-Store) @ The Good Guys

140

I have been looking for a dual channel front & rear dashcam and came across this. It seems like a decent price, at least $100 cheaper than everywhere else. Collected mine yesterday, plenty of stock in store (FREE to collect) or delivery (for extra delivery charge).

It also contains a capacitor (rather than old style battery) and has GPS tagging plus a bunch of other features.

Product Description:
The MiVue™920 DC front and rear cameras record in Full HD 1080P at 30 frames per second and have wide-angle multi-layer lens. The front camera, with 2” LCD screen, comes with a premium STARVIS™ sensor for crystal clear imagery, and all recordings are GPS tagged to show exact location of incident and with the built-in 3-Axis G-Sensor, also show direction of impact. Fitted with a super capacitor rather than a battery, the device is built and tested to perform reliability for hot and cold Australian and NZ conditions. The device can be used in smart and low power parking mode with the addition of a SmartBox accessory so that when your vehicle is parked and engine switched off, recording continues, and if you’re bumped or broken into, you’ll have the footage. And if you are in an accident, you never need to remember to push the record button, the device automatically hard-saves any footage with ‘event recording mode’. You’ll also get an accurate driving speed display on the front camera powered by the internal GPS. The MiVue™920 DC supports a microSD card up to 256GB (not included) and footage can be downloaded, viewed and shared on the MiVue™ Pro smartphone app on iOS and Android.

I've had a Navman Mivue for 3.5 years, moved it between a couple of vehicles, dual camera. It's been extremely reliable and works well to this day.

I have a similar dashcam that has just been installed, so far so good. If it helps anyone, the guy strongly recommended me to look at the brand RedTiger, although i'd never heard of it before.

I went with NavMan for the brand, but apparently they are quite average when it comes to Dashcams. Have already extracted some footage and it seems to be alright.

Ive had navman for 5+yrs and never had any issues and camera captures very clear video. I have recently upgraded the unit to Navman MiVue 920 so I can capture rear view as well.

Also, you can trade up your older dash cam unit to Navman dash cam though their website and get 30% off on selective dash cam.
