Heart Rate and O2 Level Monitor

Any suggestions for a band or a watch that monitors SPO2/O2 levels in real time or maybe in a gap of few seconds? Same applies for heart rate.

I have Apple Watch, heart rate can be measured using third party app but no option for O2 monitor.

Checked Whoop band - it’s expensive because of subscription and still not doing a real time readings.

Any other suggestions?

  • My Apple watch monitors my O2 level

    • Every 30 mins

  • The later model Apple Watches monitor O2 levels

      Not in real time

      • Yes, it can measure O2 on demand.

        • Yes, but not on its own. Like while sleeping it doesn’t offer a capability to measure every 30 seconds or a minute.

  • The Garmin ones do it

  • Your answers to other posters suggests that what you want is to be able to continuously monitor O2 levels.

What your watch does is this:

The Blood Oxygen app periodically measures your blood oxygen level throughout the day if background measurements are turned on, but you can also take an on-demand measurement at any time.

It doesn't seem to define "periodically", but since you've made this post, I assume that the period doesn't meet your requirements.

or maybe in a gap of few seconds

It appears that the O2 measument takes 15 seconds.

On demand - not possible during sleep.
Regular interval - is 30/15 mins for Apple Watch.

Requirement - capture the data every few seconds, if it takes 15 second, then let’s say every 15/30 seconds max

Watch - not good enough and no setting to measure every 30 second or so, and on its own.

Watches report questionable results for blood oxygen. Buy a better quality Oximeter with OLED display and better accuracy. $20 on Banggood for a JUMPER JPD-500E used in hospitals !

  • https://getwellue.com/pages/o2ring-oxygen-monitor is a good unit. I got one to track my sp02 when I sleep.

  • I'm a Garmin fan, and my Fenix 6 Pro keeps me dialed in to my O2 and heart rate 24/7. It's a bit pricey, but the features are top-notch. Plus, it's built like a tank for those rugged adventures.
