Hi team,
Moving into a new property that has the Opticomm Fibre, recently signed up with Superloop but didn't choose the router they provided.
Any good suggestions on other brands and models? Trying to keep it below $200.
I heard a modem is not required for Opticomm Fibre, but not 100% sure.

The Opticomm box will have a WAN out port. Been using Asus XT-8 mesh working fine, any router with a WAN input will work fine.
Just warning, avoid Uniti as your ISP or any potential provider that will be acquired by Uniti. They are so under-staffed, even complaint through TIO they seemingly don't care and respond after conciliation date. Opticomm have frequent issues and outages recently, don't expect Uniti to provide any support or information.
You do realize that Unity owns Opticomm? so no real way of avoiding them altogether in those estates. As unless you go fixed wireless or mobile they basically have a monopoly.
Unless you want to spend a fortune on business grade Fibre from the likes of Telstra.
