While dishwashing liquid contains salts, and should only be used once yearly as a strip-wash before applying a new sealant (wax, ceramic, etc); laundry detergent (even better, wool wash) is designed to be much more ph neutral, isnt loaded with salt, and will still lift dirt and lubricate the cleaning tools.
