They dont really pass through sound via bone (there is sound leak). So why the name is bone conduction? Should be mini speaker.

Have you tried them? The feel is very different to have speakers or headphones right next to your ear. Of course you still hear through vibration of your ear drums, but these sit on the bone just above your cheekbones so the sound isn't produced by air pressure change but through physical pressure change.

Personally, I actually like the fact I can hear environmental sounds. It makes it feel much more natural when talking on the phone- like speaking to a person in the same room.

      • Yes I like to hear surrounding but just I don't get the idea they calling this bone conduction but the is still small leaks. Bone means bone. Straight inside our head. Just like science movies.
If not, then this is speaker

    • It's not really a mini speaker either though unless it's for your pet mouse

    • Can also use ShokzBf23 for $15 off.

  • Is there anywhere that has these on display to try? I'm not keen on dropping $150+ on headphones whose selling point isn't great sound quality, but definitely curious about comfort and experience of them.

Lots of cycling and running stores have display pairs. Unfortunately my LBS shut down recently so can't recommend them anymore

Just got them. Forget they're there when running. Mainly got them so I could sweat without worrying and not get a minor shock everytime something comes out of my blind spot. No thudding noise from feet is great.

Not great sound quality because that is not why you buy these. If you care more about the sound than where/when you could use them don't get it. I eq'd mine with wavelet and it's a lot better but gotta turn volume up a little. Tbh sound quality point is a little irrelevant in a headphone that's designed so you can hear all the other sounds around you.

      • im glad someone answered the only question i have, about sound quality

Jb have them hooked up ready to try. It what convinced me to buy a pair

      • Yeah I just tried them at jb and tbh, the sound quality isn't exactly awful… I thought they were quite good, considering.

        • Yeah definitely lacking in base but when exercising they do the job and you don't get that closed in ear fatigue. I actually quite like them. I actually have pretty bad tinnitus in my right ear and it helps mask that so win win.

  • Anyone tried these for swimming? I'm wondering how's the Bluetooth connection stability if I have to leave my phone somewhere near the pool (50m pool)

    • Water and bluetooth are a bad combination. These ones aren't 'waterproof' for swimming, just for sweaty activities. The ones rated for swimming are an mp3 player, not a bluetooth set.

      • Make sense! Thank you jet

I use mine for swimming. Bluetooth can only travel an inch or two through water though. So the only way is to wear a swimming cap and put a smart watch inside the swimming cap. Unconventional but works a treat.
