This coupon has become live again as pointed out and it brings both the 6GB RAM, MediaTek Kompanio 1300T CPU variant down to US$191.17 (~A$296.01) and the 8GB RAM, Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 CPU variant down to US$225.63 (~A$349.37).

The cheapest variant in the title is the 6GB MediaTek variant and I recommend grabbing this instead of the Qualcomm variant. The reason is that it's possible to flash Lenovo's official global ROM onto this tablet while maintaining Widevine L1 for Netflix HD, as described here

While the Qualcomm variant has more RAM and a slightly better CPU it's not compatible with the official global ROM, so it uses Lenovo's version of Android called ZUI that looks different to stock. Google Play and Widevine L1 with Netflix HD still all work fine, however not everything is translated to English.

Other features include an 11.2" 2560x1536 OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 600nits brightness, HDR10+ & Dolby Vision, 128GB UFS 3.1 Storage (microSD support), 8200mAh battery with 30W fast charging, USB-C with Video Out, 4 JBL Speakers with Dolby Atmos, 13MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and POGO pins for charging/keyboard.

  • Add "<colour> 6G 128G" or "<colour> 8G 128G" to the cart
  • Apply the coupon 11SALE30 at checkout

Multiple colours can be selected and the price may vary slightly between them. Proof that the coupon is working. If you've used this coupon before it won't work again on the same account.

@PainToad is this what you're after?

    • Thanks mate. Was after the non-Pro model for ~$150. That is a good deal but!

      • +1

Sadly only the 4GB/64GB variant ships to Australia at the moment. I personally wouldn't get it because of the ROM. Here's hoping the 2024 variant will drop on price.

        • From what I've read you can flash the dodgy global back to ZUI and relock the bootloader. Is there something wrong with ZUI?

          • @PainToad: I don't have any issue with ZUI myself. Some people around here hate that some things are still in Chinese.

  • +4

Make sure you remove/don't apply 'Coins' or the code won't work.

  • A lot of tablet for the $, won't find better IMO. The OLED is great.

    • This price was enough for me to finally get one myself. Opted for the MediaTek variant so I can flash official global on it.

      • +2

I have the 8GB SD860 version, haven't had any issues with the official chinese variant

  • Thanks OP, snagged a Qualcomm v 👍

    • That model won't be able to flash to Global Android 13. You will be stuck with the unofficial version, that doesn't include Widevine L1 and an unlocked bootloader (potentially Malware can be installed).

      • The reviews show the Qualcomm variant on ZUI instead of a dodgy ROM.

        • Oh snap, I read that around the other way!!
Thanks @Clear1 that saved my bacon 🥓

        • I'm confused. Does the Qualcomm variant include Widevine L1/NetflixHD? I would prefer the snapdragon over the MediaTek.

          • +3

            @Jonski: It sure does.

In China Lenovo have their own skinned version of Android they call ZUI and it behaves exactly the same as any other Android version with Google Play (has to be enabled in settings) and Widevine L1. The English translations aren't 100%.

In the global market they have a slightly reskinned version of the stock Android and again behaves the same with Google Play and Widevine L1.

The Qualcomm variant has never been released outside of China, unlike the MediaTek variant so that's why there's no official global ROM. Anyone who says ZUI is "fake" doesn't know what they're talking about.

        • Yeah you're right, weird how the seller has it in the description and title about the unofficial Global Rom.

          • @Griffindinho: Interesting I didn't see that part. I think they just copy/paste from other listings as the store itself is run by AliExpress.

            • @Clear: No worries, I recently bought the Kompanio variant (CN Rom) from another seller with the original pad pro case (Lenovo Folio). Was just above $370 for both.

      • I have the original chinese qualcomm version, it got the android 13 OTA update a month ago.

        • -1

It's running on ZUI, not Global Android 13. The Snapdragon 870 model is only available in China. The Kompanio model can be flashed to Global Android 13 as the ROW variant is the P11 Pro Gen 2.

          • @Griffindinho: ZUI 15 is Android 13 and I didn't have to flash anything, the update was OTA.

            • @reactor-au: Yes it's Chinese based, not Global Android 13.

              • +3

@Griffindinho: What is your point? Is there something missing from the "chinese" android 13? Widevine - check. Android 13 - check. OTA updates - check. Google services - check. Play store - check.

                • @reactor-au: Google assist works better on Global Andriod if you do indeed use that. But yeah, comes down to preference and UI. I just prefer the Global version than Zui.

                  • @Griffindinho: Zui doesn't support multiple users. Not sure if the global rom does.

  • Have this tablet, it's great

  • +1

Can anyone recommend a compatible pen/stylus to go with this tablet, as I'm getting mixed information from google and AliExpress listings

  • +1

@Clear I think the MediaTek version price conversion is out a bit. Current Mastercard rate gives $191.17 USD as $296.01 AUD.

Still a cracking deal, but $269 AUD is seriously cheap.

    • +2

Thanks around the wrong way. I hate typing deals on a phone 😅

    • I just paid AU$299.48 with paypal for the MediaTek and minutes before that AU$353.67 for the Qual. Mad cheap for an OLED tablet.

      • And I just recieved it, 5 days from China to the Gold Coast is pretty good shipping!

  • I got the 8gb ram version and its pretty good once you set it up(remove bloatwear and install google)

  • Can the snapdragon get any lower than $350? 🤔

  • Just to clarify because I've also seen P11 selling on aliexpress…is the Xiaoxin and P11 the same tablet? Just the former is sold for the chinese market and latter for everywhere else (hence the stock xui rom on the Xiaoxin)?

    • There's a few different P11 tablets and this isn't one of them

  • Would anyone have an opinion if the 2gb drop in RAM (8 to 6gb) would be discernible to your everyday consumer (netflix, surfing web, use of google chrome)? Just weighing up if additional 2GB is better or the ability to flash Lenovo's official global ROM…

  • Ripper of a deal, makes me wanna sell my Pad 6 Pro as that's overkill for my needs. Then again Sd8+gen1 is good for Switch emulation.

  • It says global ROM. Does it mean the OTA update is permanently banned?

    • +1

As @Clear has mentioned, the review in the comment has it running on ZUI, which if you do receive the CN Rom and not the unofficial bootloaded Global Rom, then no. You will be able to recieve OTA updates.

      • Thanks for all the above comments Griff! When I receive mine, is it difficult to check? (I ordered 8gb SD)

  • Hmmm, this or the M10 Plus 3rd Gen (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/812546)
Use mostly for 7yo daughter to watch youtube, maybe play roblox? and then as a recipe catalogue for the wife & I.

    • That is the same as the non-Pro Xiaoxin Pad 2022, except only 4gb is available instead of 4gb and 6gb from China.

    • Should be sufficient enough for basic YouTube and browsing. I bought the M10 Plus 3rd Gen last year (MediaTek G80 Helio) for my boomer mother. She’s happy with it.

Have taken coins off but still will not let me apply code. Will not apply with other discounts is the message, but there are no other codes applied. Any ideas?

    • App, desktop or mobile site? New account or existing with orders?

  • I am having the same issue, can't seem to apply the code even when removing the coins. Giving the error message "This coupon code can't be used in combination with other discounts". Even tried to start a new account and its not accepting the code. Doesn't appear to be any other discounts applied apart from free shipping which I can't deselect. Any ideas?

  • App & web. Existing account but last used years ago. Getting Welcome deal free shipping. Thanks

    • That's probably why. Welcome Deal must be overriding. Should be able to remove it the same way you remove other coupons block clicking on the discount at checkout

  • Hey can someone link a guide and safe download site for the global rom flashing on the Mediatek ver?

    I found this one …

    • +1

The deal has it all linked.

      • Ah I see i does, my bad. Thanks

      • Hi @Clear.
I just received the tablet (sd version) would you know how to convert the rom to Chinese rom. All the guides I see are for the mediatek version. My model number was TB138FC. Thanks for the deal!

        • What does it have on there currently?

          • @Clear: I'm currently on the unofficial global rom. So everytime I restart it says the bootloader is unlocked. I think it causes the wildvine to be level 3 as well.

            • @FireStorm729: Same issue. Has anyone found a way to revert to the original ZUI rom?

              • +2

@jchili: I downloaded the official Chinese ROM (link 3):
                https://xdaforums.com/t/tb138fc-sd870-xiaoxin-pad-pro-2022-s…

and followed the flashing instruction here:
                https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYY2OLl_ElU&t=14s

                • @jchili: Awesome thanks for the update. How is the CN rom running? Since the bootloader was already unlocked I'm guessing you just followed the flashing steps. 🙂

                  • +1

@FireStorm729: Correct. Enable OEM unlocking, and USB debugging on developer options were already turned on as well. All I had to do is download the correct ROM and flash. I have not played with the tablet yet as it's currently installing the latest OTA firmware.

                    • @jchili: Thanks man. Appreciate your input. Have a great week.

                      • @FireStorm729: Still got L3

                        • @jchili: Have you locked your bootloader and tried disabling OEM unlocking? That's what I found online. Would be a shame if its still widevine L3. :(

                          • @FireStorm729: Do you have a link I can follow?

                            • @jchili: I found this comment on XDA on locking the bootloader hope it helps look from step 11.

Finally managed to install China ROM. I started with unlocked bootloader and Banggood tablet with global ROM.
Everything OK, finally got Widevine L1, OTA. Only English and Chineze languages. Netfix works in FullHD.

I have run into sahara fail issue on windows 11. To resolve this, I followed @PHRS and @Tropaion guides. USB debugging has to be enabled first in the tablet menu.

                              1. Install Qualcomm USB Driver v1.0 and restart computer
                                View attachment 5466737

                              2. Install QPST Tool in default path ProgramFiles(x86) https://qpsttool.com/qpst-tool-v2-7-496

                              3. Extract ROM content in C:\Program Files (x86)\Qualcomm\QPST\bin\TB-J716F_CN_OPEN_USER; I guess this is important, because if I left the ROM in a Desktop folder, I got Sahara fail. May be due to windows 11 security implementation and ProgramFiles file access stuff…
                              4. Connect tablet in EDL mode - I did it with with adb command "adb reboot edl"
                              5. Check if the tablet is visible in Device manager, under Ports (COM&LPT); note the port number. Tablet screen is black.
                              6. Execute as Administrator "C:\Program Files (x86)\Qualcomm\QPST\bin\QFIL.exe"; the port number from step 5 should be visible in QFIL.
                              7. Setup QFIL / FireHose Configuration as indicated in Opening post (0-Sahara, ufs, reset after download)
                              8. Browse Programmer path with "C:\Program Files (x86)\Qualcomm\QPST\bin\TB-J716F_CN_OPEN_USER\prog_firehose_ddr.elf" and Content XML with "C:\Program Files (x86)\Qualcomm\QPST\bin\TB-J716F_CN_OPEN_USER\contents.xml"
                                View attachment 5466733

                              9. Click download content. For me it worked fast, the log showed the processes running in a few steps. I had a USB3 connection, maybe this is why it went very fast (~20-30 seconds).

                              10. Tablet can be rebooted with the new ROM, but still Widevine L3
                              11. To lock the bootloader, first install LenovoUsbDriver_v1.1.47
                              12. Use @Tropaion lock batchscript https://xdaforums.com/t/lock-unlock-bootloader-xiaoxin-pad-p…
                              13. The bootloader is locked and the tablet is reset. Widevine L1 and OTA after this.
                              14. A bit weird boot with all the Chineze, but embedded apps can be easily uninstalled. I installed Aptoide, then Google Play, Netflix, Swiftkey instead of the chinese one, etc.
        • Mine arrives tomorrow. Please do post any info you find on here. Keen to do the same

    • Don’t follow that one. It’s not the Pro and not Mediatek.

  • +1

Bought one, good for my couch life atm
    thanks op

  • I get $341.05 ($309.47 + 32.58 tax) for the 6GB variant. Does this sound right? It wouldn’t accept the coupon code anymore.

    • +1

      Still getting $300.22 for me.

Does it say something like ‘new user deal’? If so you need to buy something cheap first so you’re not a first time customer, then you’ll no longer qualify for the ‘new user deal’. The tablet will be at a higher price, but you’ll be able to use the code to bring it down cheaper.

      • Thank you. Is that $300.22 inclusive of tax?

        • Yep.

          • @PainToad: Cheers! It was the first time user thing indeed. I ordered a $1 item and thereafter was able to apply the code to get the tablet down to $300.22.

            • @appledeuce: @Clear fyi. This might explain why codes don’t work for some people on your deals.

              • @PainToad: Yep happened above. If this was a low value deal they'd get an awesome price but something high like this doesn't knock much off.

  • Lol I bought one this morning using the 11SALE40 code for $375 AUD.

  • +1

Has anyone been able to find a decently priced precision pen 3 to go along with this?

    • +1

      Third attempt …
I bought a cheap generic Android smart pen, not a stylus, about a year ago for my Lenovo Tab P11. I tested it and it worked fine, but I haven't used it since.

Dunno how to remove affiliate code from AliExpress url 🤕
