New customer only or can I use it to recharge?

    • Can work with recharge

      • What type of SIM card do you require? Drop down lists 3 options for the same price= New customers, too.
        Physical SIM
        ESIM
I am an existing customer don't need

'Voucher does not apply to subsequent recharges'.=Not for recharge.

Get further $5 by first purchase email subscription, or by a new dummy email sign up.
$5 is a fortune for the grave diggers and penny pinchers here!

        • For recharge just select the last option aka the third option that says you are an existing customer.

Then they will just send you a code to your email that you can enter in the recharge process. Easy. No sim no delivery of anything except for a code to your email.

  • Does it have expirry?

    • +4

      Everything have expiry.
      Even human

  • +2

The small $100 also not bad?
    Esim.
But 200gb is too much for me.
    Rather have 60-80gb for $50
Last year on Boost, used 30gb for 11.5 months as of today

    • Same here… 130GB expiring in 10 days (Amaysim)… Will be moving to Boost, just wanted a small and cheaper pack of 60GB valid for 12 months.

    • Thanks I'll add

      • +1

Worth adding that's it Vodafone network too.

    • Lol Kogan up to their fuggery tricks. When i bought 5 vouchers the expiry was 31st January 2024 on their website.
The voucher email from Kogan says end of December 2023. 3 of the recharges were for January 2024. And this is why i refuse to buy anything from Kogan except mobile plans which may change.

    Very cheap but Vodafone…

    • +4

      It's not Optus

    • +1

No 5G from Optus in my area but Vodafone does!

      • -2

Data should be free just as domestic phone calls from public street booths. Unfortunately, we will have wait for a stronger Labor gov with bulky balls which can tax big telcos, and apple, sams, nokia, google, microsoft, twitter etc. this will happen within the next 5 years.

        • Himm, grave diggers and penny pinchers are not happy with even idea of free items. Then keep paying apple and sams over 3000 bucks, and digging graves to pinch pennies here by chasing coupon codes, cash back, gift cards and few cents profit from Boots mobile by fraudulent methods. Good luck!

        • So we tax the big telcos more, and in return they will give us free data?

Let's do that with housing too.

I’m on this plan now (second time in the last 5 years with other carriers in between).

It’s a great price but it’s noticeably worse than the other plans I’ve been on. I do constantly get dropouts (not SOS but just very slow/no internet) and there are a bunch of places I have no reception.

I don’t regret getting this plan because 98% of the time it’s fine and the price is really good but I don’t intend on recharging when the plan ends.

I’m in metro Melbourne for reference

TLDR: go for it if price is your main concern, otherwise look elsewhere

    • Basically the same for me in Metro Adelaide. I've been with Kogan for like 6 years now but i might try Boost on my next renewal in a month to see how it compares on Telstra 5G network. The prices are in the same ballpark at the moment - $160 for 300GB on Kogan vs $215 on Boost for 260GB.

      • -3

The prices are NOT in the same ballpark at the moment:

        500GB $180 (with first buy email code: $175) vs 260GB $215.

        500(K) + 20 = 2 x 260(B). K+ 20 = 2 x B => K = (2 x B) - 20. K GB is twice of B less 20GB.

        175(K) = 215(B)-Y. Y = 215-175. Y= 45. K is $45 cheaper than B.

        Data/$: 500(K)/175: 2.85.. GB 260(B)/215: 1.20.. GB
        K 2.85GB per $. B 1.20GB per $.
        $/data 175/500(K): 35 Cents. 215/260(B): 82.69..Cents.
        35 cents buy 1GB K. 82.69.. cents buy 1GB B.

        This also applies K 160(155) 300GB (53 cents per 1GB) vs B 215/260GB (82 cents per 1GB)

        Coverage/reception is another matter.

This is just the simplest arithmetic not even a 1st degree linear equation of maths. There is a very significant (p<0.001) linear correlation between maths and language. If language (or maths) is poor, so is maths (or language); and vice versa.

  • +1

Am I right in assuming these don't stack on top of any remaining credit you have?

    • +1

Unused data expires on next recharge or expiry date of the recharge, whichever is earlier

  • +3

Voucher expires at 11:59pm AEDT on 31/12/2023

    Kogan changed the terms.

    • +2

[Kogan] "I'm altering the deal. Pray I don't alter it any further."

  • Is this 5G?

  • Just in time!
Last year's Kogan Black Friday 365days plan about to expire soon.

  • +1

Since it's Vodafone, if you don't need 300g, wws has 240g for 140(150+2000pts), is a good deal too. Can get 10% monthly off for further discount.

    • Link? Couldn't find this price.
Edit: found it in the catalogue

    • +2

I think Vodafone charge $8 to transfer your number to another provider.
Voucher must be activated within 6 months of purchase to avoid expiry.

      • that's sucks, they are still doing this in 2023? i already purchased the pack,i guess i will use it. but no more direct vodafone. Unless 5G is a thing.

    • +1

It's not Woolworths mobile. How can you get 10% off monthly?

      • +1

use your monthly 10% to buy the sim card, not get 10% from buying the sim card.

  • +1

Kogan Mobile voucher must be redeemed by 11:59PM AEDT on 31/12/2023.

  • +1

Can you redeem the voucher for recharge before your current plan expires?

    • +1

i did it once, and the plan starts on the day you renew it, so basically your old plan will be wasted.

      • Pretty much this.

If you have good memory or are sure you won't forget your alert or calender alarm then you can probably renew it a day before it expires which is the second last day of this year but if you are like me and are prone to forgetfulness then just redeem it now and be happy with the savings this deal is going to get you irregardless.

  • Recharge is easy they send you a voucher code and you just enter it on the recharge screen and it shows you the plan and you click next and it is done.

It is for 366 days but in the fine print there is a typo for 24 months calls and text not sure what that is about.

  • Hmm. My kids plans don't expire till end of January and I bought these last year as Chirstmas sales. As I did the year before.

Buy these and waste a month or gamble Kogan will run the promo again at Christmas a third year running?

    Thoughts?

  • +1

Expiry date is now 31/12/2023, check before buying

  • with heavy users is $180 for 500gb is good deal?

  • They say you can get the data at once, or divide per month.

If you do monthly, and go over, will it drop speed, or can you change plans?

  • Just like last year's version of this Kogan phone plan sale, if you buy it using a Kogan giftcard from giftcardexchange with this gift card deal, you can get an additional 6% off.

Could someone please add this to the above description?
