50% off Valvoline Durablend at Repco Only $42.99 (Save $43)

I just received the latest Repco catalogue in the mail and it looks like they've done it again, selling Valvoline Durablend for less than half price, I'm going to stock up, I don't think Supercheap Auto match promotional lines so get in quick!

since when did 5L of engine oil start costing $86 ?

    • +1

Since synthetics have been around. $86 for a syn blend seems pretty steep though!

      • Yeah…you can get Motul Full Syn (8100 Xcess) for about $80-$90

Same with Mobil 1 or Castrol Ti Edge

        Who uses Valvoline anyway?

        • I use Valvoline.

        • And what sorta car do you drive?

      Save: $6.96 EACH

lol, so where did they pull the $86 from at Repco ????

Well you know what they say REPCO stands for
        Rip Every Poor …

        • Foul Language?

          Rip Every Cent Off…

          ?

        • Rip every poor cent off isnt as dynamic

I knew retailers were jacking up the price before discounting! Solid proof thorpef1!

The super cheap is the same it looks like by the images of both? I can see this getting negged pretty bad if true ;)

I use the penrite synthetic blend and only buy when its at $27 or so on special. I just buy 2 bottles at a time which covers me for a year

  • Good calls - trust the OzBargainers to sniff out a lie :) Nice price on Helix Ultra from Repco though.

  • Hahaha, crappy Valvoline 5L semi-synthetic that costs $86? I don't think so. I pay $85 for 5L Mobil 1 5W-30, that's a "full" synthetic and one of the best. Even 5L of Castrol Edge 5W-30 is $70.

    Sorry, no deal.

    • +1

Castrol Edge 5w30 is 25% off at Repco too… $50 for fully synthetic vs $43 for semi-synthetic…

Nice try but I think 50% is better than 30%.

      • lol wtf?

      • +2

I know and those rug shops with 90% off are better still!

  • Rip off!

  • Price has definitely been jacked up. I use this oil for my car and I regularly get it for around $32 at Supercheap when it goes on sale.

  • Jacked up price. Deserves a Neg. Sorry Op

    • Noooooo, how could you do this to me!

      • are you on commission from Repco? :P

        • Nah, Repco are shite.

        • Who would you recommend?

        • Probably Supercheap Auto, sales aren't as misleading and they're more likely to have stock and if they don't they help you track it down at another store, I think Repco are franchised so they don't care what you want if you're not buying it at their location.

I like the Calibre tools from Supercheap too, Repco's are fine though too especially with their lifetime warranty.

JB hi-fi is the best for car audio whenever they have 30% off but just like Repco with this deal, they put some of their prices up before their sales, Google cache is pretty handy to sort through that BS.

        • Supercheap in my area are garbage. Perhaps on the basics they are ok and have lots of cheap stuff but if you want anything decent or someone with the slightest bit of auto knowledge my local Supercheap is a waste of time!

I'm not sure about others but my Repco staff know how to search for parts, get them in quickly and often have them in stock, they also sell some decent tools.

Supercheap on the other hand seem to specialize in chrome exhaust tips and fluffy dice!
