My sister went and sent her car for servicing and the dude at Braddon, ACT has confirmed that there will be a 50% off Pirelli on Black Friday. Unsure about the $100 off your next logbook promo but if it’s like the last 2 years, I’m sure it will be the same

The only positive thing about insomnia is getting this deal. Ordered with instant confirmation. No mention of $100off service though

      • Think the $100 off is for future service after getting tyres done? Not 100% sure.

And more like buying all the other deals first then coming back to this one.

  • Ah Dam, check out using mobile, forgot to use my flybuys? Can it be added in later?

  • +1

5:15am - no queues, payment done in 2 minutes, just waiting on confirmation email👌EDIT it came I just didn't open the mail app.

Best of luck to everyone, hopefully the queueing system isn't as bad as getting Taylor Swift tickets😅

    • +1

Also just went through with no queues/issues. Confirmation email within 2 mins

      • +1

At least it was seamless for early birds this year unlike last year where prices didn't drop.

  • Just did it in a few minutes and got the email, hope they actually have stock and I get the tyres now!

  • Fairly easy, just got on and picked the local store but all booking dates were unavailable. Thinking I've no chance.

Selected next closest store (not much difference) and had plenty of choice in December. Done, got the confirmation email straight away.

Good deal - had my Continentals for 8 years. 3 tyres maybe a mm off the gauge and one tyre about 0.2mm off the gauge. Just drove the Mrs to work and road is wet and bit of wheel spin, thought I'd better do this!

Happy I didn't bother getting up at midnight.

Thank you MyCar, 6:15am website is so smooth and fast no issue at all, everything load & done within 1 min and email came thru within another 2 mins.
My tyre size Powergy showing $92 today instead of $185 yesterday, so even 50c better than 1/2 price.
My local shop already got stock online but still need to book car in from 4th at least.
Perfecting timing as my mechanic already asking me to change them few weeks back when servicing it.
Adding flybuy number to earn points, such a win/win and who cares about that $100 voucher when you have your own trusted mechanic.

Just ordered some 225/65r17 Pirelli All Season. It didn't crash, confirmation email was instant.

  • Can someone help me with choosing tyres?
I have a 2014 Mazda CX-5 and it says I need 225/65R17 tyres, but according to the mycar website they don’t carry this exact size. Do I have any other options?

    • I have the same tyre size. Pirelli scorpion Verde is the option for it and its letting me book now as well. Although the website has slowed down

      • Hmm I can’t find the exact 225/65R17? Would you have a link in Pirelli Scorpion Verde. Thanks for your help.

        • +1

I ended up buying from Jax at $162 per tyre for the 225/65R17.
They have a 35% off Pirelli and 4th tyre free.

  • Still working, confirmation email received.

    Booked for 4th Dec midday.

  • +1

    Booked. Ordered. Emailed.

    <2 mins

  • Super easy process. All booked.

  • Very easy booking process, thanks for the deal!

  • Hello tyre experts, will it be alright if our current tyre is 205/45/r16 and change to 205/55/r16 ?

    • +2

No, the second size is significantly larger diameter.

      • thanks for the quick reply.. its $100 more expensive for the original size :-(

        • low profile tyres (45) are typically more expensive

  • +1

What if Pirelli's don't show up in stores near me? Only showing Kumho and Continental. Please help

    • -1

      It's a Pirelli sale.

  • -1

Mycar rrp for PIRELLI POWERGY 98Y 235 R18 is $330, down to $165 on sale.

Did research and seen other stores have the same tyres for $220 rrp and on sale for $160.

What gives? I thought rrp would be the same across all stores?

  • Just noticed that I booked on a Sunday. Online says they are open Sunday 9am - 1pm and let me book OK.

Email confirmation has the Sunday date and time but at the bottom of the emails says they are closed Sundays.

    • got the same issue with me.. not sure if they'll cancel or what..

      • Could be simply an error on their email.
        Will have to call them.

        • on call/hold now.. lemme know how it goes if you try as well mate..

        • +1

Got through now.. That are open Sunday but just for December and for this offer.. We good OP

      • Got a call from where I booked.
They only had 4 people book on Sunday so they are not opening.

They have run out of the tyre I chose and next order is in 2-3 weeks and I'll get a call then to re-book.

  • +2

For then love of all things holy, book on a desktop!

  • Thanks op. Easy process to book.

  • Anyone finding a 225/55R19 available for booking?

    • +1

None for me, pretty much all the standard size 19" are gone and I've managed to get on the phone to someone and they've said none left and they can't order any in

      • Bob Jane seem to be the next best for this size from my quick research- comes to about $200 per tyre(compared to $170) for the Scorpion Verde after 35% BF discount they're running

  • The money is deducted from account but no confirmation. Called the customer care and they said they will get back to me.

  • They have the $100 off service? Don't need new tyres. Cheers

    • +1

I couldn’t book online, but rang store I usually go to.

Log book service $324, down to $224 for Black Friday, booked in for same day as tyres.

      Very happy.

      • I don't see anything about $100 off? So we can just ring?

Awesome I guess! I will try!

    • My two local stores said I need to do the tyres as well to get the $100 off service. Qld.

    • Purchased the tyres & paid for it however I cant see the $100 off servicing promo anywhere

  • I don’t need tyres right away. Can I buy them and get them installed in say 6 months?

    • By end of January is the latest you can go with this promo

    • Mine has 3mm left and I will get them replaced at the end of Jan to prolong them. I wish I can prolong them up to 6 months, but the offer is only valid until end of Jan, unfortunately

      • +2

how do i test/know when i need to get my tyres replaced? and when you do, do you get all 4 tyres replaced at the same time to make it uniform/consistent?

  • Thanks, was very smooth this morning, no issues with website. Blackburn.

  • Do they charge for the fitting of the tyres? I might be missing it, but from what I read it's not clear.

    • Free fitting

  • I had a really long phone call with a young guy who was clueless about tyres, after the painful wait, he goes the quote has been sent to your email.

After hanging up looking at the emailed quote the price is 50% off, albeit it states the quote is valid for 7 days appointment is a few weeks away…

I'd be annoyed if I turned up for the booking and they states quote had expired (currently goodyear F1 is the same price as pirelli P7 through Jax) I had expected to pay for the tyres to confirm booking?

Anyone have any experience with this, is this normal when booking over the phone?

    • I am in same position.

      • Yeah I expected to receive a booking confirmation not a 'quote'

I've printed it off will drop into mycar tomorrow morning, if they dont have any clarity I'll cancel it and just go with Goodyears from JAX as their BF sale goes all weekend

        • I received a QUOTE when I made a BOOKING a few months ago for wheel balancing but at least it had the booking date on it. No such thing this time. Not very clear.

  • Arrived at Macquarie centre store to book in, they said their system had crashed (not sure if legit). Will give me a call back with available tyres with my specs.

    • +1

You can't book and paid online? Website was fine early this morning

      • Im going to try now, reason for trying in store was because of people's experiences lasy year.

        • +1

Nah this year website so smooth and we rather trust online for 100% order confirmation than the shop doing itself, you dont want them to screw up your order, right?

          • +1

@kaikor: Thats true, however, im not a tyre guru and i notice there a lot of various iteration of the tyre l want i.e. (), (I), (AO), (MO) etc. I was hoping that someone at the store could guide me.

            • @smileyjus: Just google them MO is mercedes * is BMW etc etc all it means is those tyres were co developed with the oem manufacturers, if you sue a merc tyre on BMW its not going to cause any issues so to speak

  • Tyres I need can only be booked by calling due to limited availability. Can't ***** get through, keeps disconnecting me after a couple of minutes.

  • Does anyone know if cancellation is allowed? Looking at T and C, it seems ok but no 100% sure

  • +1

Two years ago when I last did my tyres it took me hours to get in and the website was shot. Today, it's straight in. Either they have significantly bettered their environment, or money's too hard to mention in 2023.

    • +1

Wait - are we talkin' 'bout money money?

      • Yep… we're talkin' 'bout the dollar bill

  • Pretty annoyed that I got turned away from the call because 'our system is down' and told me to call again later. Can't even order via call in peace! Going to try again later in the day but expect them to use system down as an issue.

    • +1

Same here. Unfortunately if website show up as call then most likely it is limited stock…

  • Is it worth buying tyres even if I don’t need them right now - I have alloy wheels

    • +1

"Offer Tyres must be booked to be fitted on a date between Monday 4 December and Tuesday 19 December 2023 or between Wednesday 3 January and Wednesday 31 January 2024. If Offer Tyres are fitted outside of these fitment periods, the full cost of all the tyres in the transaction will be payable."

    • Also in the same boat, i was just gonna see if they would sell me the tyres without the fitting for the same price.

  • Website still broken.

    • Its working fine for me, I still got my tyre page bookmarked, loaded up immediately, unless its the payment page smashed

  • All Season Verde 235/55R18 didn't show as available on the website. (Territory). Went in to store (Vic) and was able to book at 8am, at that time there were 25 total tyres available (presumably for the state). So definitely low stocks on some. Imagine they would all be gone by now.

    • I put those on my wifes CX5 last year and they've been great.

  • Effortless booking online - thanks OP.

  • smooth as butter booking new tires via the website

  • Just got a call saying the whole system crashed and my order placed this morning at 6am is actually on backorder and not in stock. They will re confirm another time when i can book my car in to get it done

    • Did you order via the shop?

      • Ordered via the website and booked at my nearest location

  • Just bought and booked for 4 Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season at Chermside for $119 each :D:D:D

    • Just got 4 at Hurstville NSW. Unfortunately, they do not have stocks anymore at Ashfield and Marrickville.

  • Has anyone actually managed to get the $100 off logbook service online?

    • Not showing discount at checkout for me as well. But it does say "Next Logbook Service" which means next booking with mycar?

      • I wondered that too but not sure after reading through the comments here

        • +5

Found it. $100 servicing discount can only be redeemed after the Offer Tyres have been fitted and paid for.

          From https://www.mycar.com.au/blackfriday
          "
Bonus Offer: Book and purchase Offer Tyres, and fit the Offer Tyres during the periods stated in paragraph 3 above, to be eligible for a $100 off logbook servicing discount with mycar.
Logbook servicing discount confirmation will appear on your Offer Tyres invoice/booking quotation, but the logbook servicing discount can only be redeemed after the Offer Tyres have been fitted and paid for.
The $100 off logbook servicing discount is single use and only applies to logbook servicing (in accordance with the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations) of the vehicle to which the Offer Tyres were fitted.
Discounts, even if unused or partly used, are not exchangeable for credit or refund.
The logbook servicing discount will expire at 11.59pm AEDT on 28 November 2024.
          "

          • @zizoubka: Thanks - was looking for this info.

          • @zizoubka: Legend.

          • @zizoubka: Someone above got the discount without tyres fitted?

So no discount unless you buy tyres?

            • @[Deactivated]: I made some calls this morning asking dealerships for my good old corolla, mycar.com.au's quote is somewhat $100 cheaper than the best quote from dealerships. I guess that's why people thought they have already received that $100 discount. Note that for now, mycar.com.au's quote is the same with or without new tyres in cart, so I would say $100 has not been used yet.

          • @zizoubka: Purchased the tyres & paid for it however I cant see the $100 off servicing promo anywhere

            • @MiaSanMia: Have the new tyres been fitted? I've also paid for the tyres and already received conformation email but no discount mentioned in email either.
T&Cs state "logbook servicing discount can only be redeemed after the Offer Tyres have been fitted"

              • @zizoubka: No my booked date is not until late Jan. but they say the $100 off gotta be used soon?

                • @MiaSanMia: T&Cs say "The logbook servicing discount will expire at 11.59pm AEDT on 28 November 2024"
Anywho I got my tyres fitted yesterday. "Black Friday 2023 - $100 off next logbook service" was printed on Tax Invoice, photo taken ready to use anytime!

    • We worry that one later as long as we managed to book. Just show them to the dealer and they will surely honour it.

  • booo, no 205/65/15 in southern Adelaide (was showing as limited stock a couple of days ago)
I'll do a drop in and ask as going past today anyway
    .

    • Did you successfully manage to get hold?

      • Walked into Noarlunga store, they have booked it for 3 weeks from now but they couldn't advice if the tyres will ever arrive. The person who was serving went out the back to chat with someone else prior to making the booking and I heard 'as long as tyres fitted by end jan….'. Still got tread on existing tyres
        .

        • @milanoxpress
update. got a phone call, sorry tyres won't be here until Jan (not fussed) so made another booking. Might end up getting one of the 4th free promotions somewhere
          .
