has cheaper and most likly same quality/factory as the COTD stuff.
the battery case for example is 3200mah where COTD is 2200mah. and $10 cheaper.
with COTDs shipping, the stuff from china would still get to you quicker

Up the top of the deal, just under the title, press edit :)

worse than Kogan, not worth trying.

Would try to bite if $399.

they say it's australia stock… but honestly at $599 + delivery?

it's hardly living up to their namesake "catch of the day"… mediocre at best.

You misunderstood the meaning behind the name, slowmo. You are the Catch of the Day, not the company or the product.

        lol! well played. :)

Perhaps not the greatest first post, look forward to seeing some better stuff from you in the future though. Don't take the feedback personally, they are commenting on the deal, not your effort.

  • Thanks Foobar.

    Retony,
Nothing wrong with buying from oversea, however if the product become faulty the buyer would spend extra $ to ship the faulty item back and it's a hassle most of the time. As a consumer we have our own choice to make, I'm sure it's a risk to take sometimes but there are others who would rather buy locally if the warranty is competitive.

nothing wrong buying locally online either.

problem is, i've been proven time after time that things arrive faster from overseas than it is from locally.
i don't mind paying a bit of premium to support local companies, but in reality would you want to support a football team that doesn't even bother to shape up to try to beat the competition?

All i've been hearing from the past half decade is that these football teams kept complaining to referees and organisers that the goal poles are too far away from them to kick, or too narrow, needs to be wider..etc etc.

seriously, if cotd in the past wasn't often plagued by 'server issues' every single time there is a 'special deal', i doubt there would be so many negative will. But hey, maybe i dont know how to run a business and have no idea how useless customer's goodwill is about.

  • Being Aussie stock, it should come with a 2 year warranty instead of the 1 year everyone else gives, yeah?

    • There's something called statutory warranty and most big companies honour it.

      • if you have a decent credit card, you get another 12 months or so as well.

      • Do you think the places where give you one year warranty on those grey imports will honour it?

        • do you think the LOCAL places where they give you 1 year warranty will care?

warranty is overrated in this country, at the very best, it protects you from DOAs, which most credit cards can cover you in that same month.

    really? REALLY??

I honestly think its pretty good. We have seen cheaper of course but this is au stock and presumably no preload shitty software.

    • read the T&C. it's an optus preload.

no shit? I beg to differ.

  • They are big fat liar. Most of the time, their advertisings are miss leading or do not mention about the limitation. Bought few items from them but returned most of goods.

  • Mobileciti is a dollar cheaper If you pick up……… same thing

It says it has optus crapware on it if you look at the terms and condition

    • Good catch/

$599 is not acceptable for an Optus phone. $599 would have been ok for australian stock direct from manufacturer (not through a phone carrier)

  • Even if it's AU stock if you buy from Catchoftheday you need wait at least 2 to 3 week min delivery. But with kogan i got my phone with in 5 days and i live sydney.

    • and if u order from china u get it in the same time as china, for a cheaper product and dont pay shipping.
ive only had good dealings, and on a doa, they replaced it and didnt need the old sent back

  • I believe this is Optarse dumping their stock of >>3G<< SGS3! Last time I checked out a >>4G<< SGS3 version at an Optarse store, they told me 3G version will no longer be sold by them.
