Good brand of lithium battery at a good price.
5 year warranty and usually pretty easy returns at supercheap however I would expect this battery to perform better than kings or eBay spec.

Prismatic cells according to the spec sheet. 60amp discharge is ok for many people
Yea, was just editing comment. The Bluetooth and long warranty makes this not a bad buy if 60a fits your needs.
100A/60A seems about right for a 100Ah pack? These don't usually have expensive power tool grade cells in them. You wouldn't be pulling over 1.2kW for very long before it was fully discharged anyway.
It's not about cells, those lifepo4 cells can easily handle way higher than 100a, the bms is the limiting factor.
power tools use nmc cells mostly but never capable of such high current draw anyway. The best cell in the market is in dyson vacuum that can only push out 30a/cell or 60a in parallel. Its all about cell longevity/protection and brand reputation. There are different kids of lifepo4 cells, some are rated for higher currents, some are rated for higher capacity.
There's no point putting a high current BMS in a pack that only has low current cells. For these kind of packs they prioritise cell capacity over cell current. This is the opposite of what power tool packs do.
@stumo: Mate, if you can't tell inherent differences between what power tool uses and these lead acid like battery there is no point discussing further.

This is the part where you earlier said exactly what you are now accusing me of doing lol. I believe kids these days call that gaslighting?
How much for the battery box to put it in?
Needing something to power my little 15L fridge in my car but I might just get the little portable battery even though it's a rip off https://www.jaycar.com.au/15-6ah-removable-lithium-battery-v…
But I like the idea of these big batteries for use as a power bank, camping etc
Only two reviews on the normal one but not great: https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/century-century-c12-100x…
People typically install these behind the rear seats or in a camper or drawer set up. I haven't seen a box for these slimline ones.
you could try one of the gooloo jump starters?
i've tested they can charge and deliver output at the same time, so when you turn your car off they are keeping the fridge going.
might be able to get 5-6 hours out of it for a 15l fridge
the Gt4000s has 26ah for about $160 with ebay 22%, and can do 12v outputOoooh interesting! I have one sitting in my car for maybe two years, never used it. It was $80 I think so probably not much capacity, but I might try that.
You can get a 100ah lithium for about 300 from Kogan. Then with a bit of extra effort and cash you can diy a much better system that'll not just power your fridge but lights, phone, can integrate solar, etc.
I need to replace the battery in my PHEV, will this fit?
Yes
I keep seeing batteries like this show up in deals. What are everyone using these size/price lithium batteries for?
Just camping? I can't think of any other common use-cases….For me, camping.
Extending the range of a Tesla
Yeah camping/caravanning/offgrid.
Lithium batteries can do higher recharge and higher discharge than lead acid. Lets you run 2kW inverter for induction cooktops or aircon off them and charge from big solar arrays or high output alternators. They are also a lot lighter than lead acid.
lead acid has no issue discharging large current and can be charge quite quickly, the issue with them is heavy weight, loss in capacity if unused or incorrect use.
A standard 100Ah lead acid cannot do 100A discharge like lithium can.
@LoftyAu: Yes, they can, the popular agm can do even more. The question you gotta answer is how long can you do it to avoid draining it below 50% capacity because the rated capacity for such use case is way below 100ah due to peukert law. Lithium has less of such issue but the bms is often the limiting factor.
@LoftyAu: Standard agms can do plenty more than 100 amps discharge
It's all about camping nowadays. Haven't seen Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, Costco ect all have camping gears on sale. Even how many cars on the road can you see having on roof awnings and on roof tents.
Campervan, HUGE improvement for me…
I switched from a 120Ah AGM to a 100AH lithium… The AGM was effectively only 60AH, and it was very slow to charge via a DC-DC from my alternator (typical AGM charge curve), voltage slump was also an issue with high loads… The 100Ah Lithium gives me the full 100Ah and no issues with voltage slump, she holds her voltage until it's near empty, it's also fast to charge, she will take the full 25amps my DC-DC charger from empty to full…
Other non camping uses…UPS's and the likes, emergency power, offgrid….
Seems a good price for the specs, connectivity and warranty (?), BUT like most sellers Century doesn't quote the prismatic cell quality or the BMS spec/version. As the "maker" Century Yuasa should be able to provide that detail.
It's got a standard discharge of 60a and max 100a. I'd say it underperforms compared to the competition.
Sure it may last longer but without knowing it's contents (what cell types and grade) it's hard to say.
