This stuff left a white powdery film on my windscreen outside of the wiper radius. Switched back to regular water.

Odd. I've never noticed anything like that. Perhaps a contamination of some sort or bad batch? I'll have to double check mine again after I refill.

      Exactly same.

    • I have a tendency of running my washers out of water, so I've never experienced this happening.
It may be a build-up in the bottom of the washer reservoir if you regularly top up the fluid, so it might end up coming out quite concentrated hence the residual residue.

    Avoid this.

It moves very slowly so might be possible
      .

    • please explain…

Followed the ratio but leaves a white residue. Diluted to a lower ratio still the same. If the water sprays to the sunroof and body paint same residue.

    • Have you got a photo?

      • Nope stoped using it long time back. Still have the nearly full bottle though.

        • I think I noticed it too but then again I also used a wax as well and that white 'residue' showed up shortly after.

Maybe doesn't react well with some car washes or waxes.

          What do you use now?

  • I use the same and initially was thinking maybe it's the dust but don't think it's that. So yes does leave a slight white residue.

If I just use 100% water, there is no residue.

Product doesn't really seem all that effective though. I've had bugs and stuff on my windscreen but this doesn't really seem to be any better than water.

  • Just ran out of my last 600ml bottle. I use a 3 litre container bottle and add the required 75ml using a measuring cup and add this to my car's reservoir. Hadn't noticed any white residue…metallic blue car, so would show up easy if it was there, I would think.

Could be tempted to try something else, if anyone has any suggestions
