Same price at umart not much of a deal

  • 200 more for the IPS Lenovo 4k 32 inch at JB, often (on sale)

    VA? Yeah nah

VA is fine. Not everyone plays games or edits video.

i thought va has shit viewing angle?
for me its ips or nothing

Ever used a good VA panel? Great contrast.

          • @Dvbargain: Second that. Also, smearing is less of an issue on newer panels. Never had issue with viewing angles on a VA either.

@winnytp: I've experienced not being able to view the first few columns and rows off the edges on va panels but never ips panels

@FoxJump: I use dual 32" 4k va panels and whilst off axis viewing angles aren't incredible, from any angle you would use a monitor it doesn't affect it.

                • @witheredcouch: Do you find dual 32 is too wide? I have dual 27s at the moment, and have been thinking of upgrading to dual 32s, but I’m just wondering if the outer corners of each screen might be too far out?

@poppingtags: I use dual 32's at my office and at home. The ideal config is having them on an arm, with one centred and one more diagonally facing you, which I have at the office. At home I have a small study nook so they are side by side, either way I don't have an issue, but It likely depends how you use them? I use it in order to have a lot of various info up at once, so at home, if I am working on an assignment or something, a slight readjustment to view seems natural. After going 32's I couldn't go back.

                    • @witheredcouch: That’s great to know, thanks! I feel like 32 is the sweet spot for 4K, and I have both existing monitors mounted on arms, so that could work nicely.

                  • @poppingtags: I replaced a 24 with a curved 32 & kept a 27. Frankly, since getting the 32, I hardly ever use the 27. When I had the previous setup, I used both screens extensively.

                • @witheredcouch: ive been looking at 21:9 38xx by 1440 ones
                  so .. big angles. important

  • Doesn't look like a VESA mount

    • +1

If it's like the LG 1440p's we have in the office the square mount point of the OEM stand likely unclips to reveal vesa mount points, though they are a little ressessed so not all mount plates will fit.

  • Is it worth buying as a work monitor?

    • Personally love my 32” 4K for work. It’s the equivalent of 4 laptop screens but without the borders.
You also get the additional vertical real estate which is great for documents and spreadsheets.

  • So the 32" 4K UHD Monitor $369 or the 27" for $149? Why such a big price gap?

    4k vs 1k
HDMI, DP, Headphone Out ports vs VGA + HDMI
Height adjustable stand + VESA compatibility vs nothing
    Built-in speakers vs nothing

Already have the Dell S2721DGF for one screen, looking to replace the 2nd 24" screen.
No gaming, just purely office work for the OH. Will this be a good fit?
