  • Throwing another one in the mix, I got the Junctek KG series for similar price and been happy with that. Adds Bluetooth and can connect a relay to turn off output on low voltage. Newer KH series looks to have a slightly better layout of info on the display though.

I have this one (RBM500-G1-AU-FBA). Its great. works perfectly. Great price OP.

  • I was debating this and the victron. Went with the victron and been happy

I use the Victron Smart Shunt with the BT app, very happy, but they're $143 with eBay Plus, so they're a step up cost wise, but it was money well spent "for me"… The Victron app is very user friendly and reliable…

With this Deal, thought of your setup😄

I have this, works a treat in making sure I don't discharge my battery too much.

    • No alarm contacts? (Would like to disconnect with external relay on low charge)

No need. I use it for a battery and inverter setup for my work car. I usually use it for the microwave in there, but sometimes I take my air fryer to cook lunch/dinner. I am always there watching it cook so no need for an alarm. It is mainly to know I need to hook it up to the charger when I get home, so I don't have to do it every day.

Having this running in my 4WD to monitor aux lithium battery, and power draw of the fridge etc. Works great and no complaints. Would recommend.

    Just bought one. Thanks!

Just search for battery monitors on ebay and you'll find the exact same ones just without the renogy logo on them.

    • Good to know. Given renogys customer service is apparently pretty average, probably not much to lose by going for generic and saving some cash.

Just checked though, and most of the ones that look like the renogy are similarly priced to the current sale price here

Have this same model Renogy 500A Battery Monitor in my van running a dual lithium battery set up via Redarc

dc-dc + solar charger which has been powering my 40 Lt fridge for around 2 yrs pretty much 24/7

and has helped a lot to monitor my battery which powers my fridge which in turn powers me via cold beers lol.

I have set the value of my battery capacity to less than "real capacity" as well as low of 20% as a bigger buffer

to look after my lithium battery. The only gripe I have with this model is when alarm goes off, there is no way

of turning off, the battery Must be fully 100% charged for that to go off. My only two times in 2 years this happening

is to disconnect the rear cable plug that goesinto the monitor so I could get some sleep. Maybe there is another way,

but did not find that in the instructions. At this price it's even better.

Yes a good bit of kit. I installed it on a kickass box with kings 120ah lithium. There are really cheap ones on ebay that looked like Renogy but you can't beat this brand.
