Was hoping for a 20% off Digidirect eBay sale…

  • +4

I dont get why they can't just put all items in the linked special offer listing.
There's entire categories missing that have items valid with the discount code.

Is that the cause of your surprise

      Hey where you at?
Logging in to Ebay from my caaaarrr

        I'm down with the system.

    • If they were honest, the Deal should read:
“Eligible Items” means items listed on eBay.com.au where the price has been jacked 20% in the last 72 hours.

Watched some steam decks go from like $790 to over $900

  • Thanks OP Also got the email. Nice worked on an item I had in my cart

Wish this covered the Steam Deck!

    • It does… but the ones it covers were price jacked from $790 or so to over $900

Unless there's specific deals on items, these 15% off eBay sales shouldn't be posted. Ozbargains doesn't allow "Myer 20% off everything deals" so why allow this?

    • +2

      Myer 20% off everything deals

But Myer itself doesn’t do a 20% off everything, so hence why OzBargain doesn’t allow it ;)

      • +3

Just saying if there's an actual sale on an item let's see it. Arbitrarily posting 15% off on "selected items" isn't a sale. These eBay "deals" get posted every month here and everyone knows they're a scam.

        • I was looking for the Synology NAS. Almost bought it at a store for $829. Luckily I saw this post and Computer Alliance Ebay store is now selling it for $804.27.

@Matego: Phew lucky you saved 3%

          • @Matego: That's what I'm saying. Let's post the deals for transparency so the community can vote for each of them like we normally do. These posts at the moment are just an advertisement for eBay.

they need to bring back 10 to 20% of EVERYTHING because there is nothing in the "selected" product range I ever want.

    • At this point I'm not even convinced there are any deals.

Tested 10+ items in my watch list across many categories. Nothing.

Camping, hiking, bikes, tech, gardening, household electronics.

Just wasted 15 mins clicking and waiting for red.
      Bunch of nonsense.

Black Friday just around the corner 🤑🤑🤑

      • Got the feeling eofy deals are going to have been generally better… glass kinda half empty at the moment (AUD tanking etc) so just setting the bar low and ready to be pleasantly surprised

  • No discount refurb iphones 😢…. Pass

    • Green Gadgets store, I got my iPhone XS refurbished and computer from them last time 22% discount. Extremely happy with the computer, the phone I wished I’d gone above good grade, it works, it just has a little scratch on the screen. And look for the new battery ones.

I double checked their listing, they are doing the discount.

The price of some computer components jumped today across a few sellers. For example, a cpu motherboard bundle was $539 yesterday and there was a $60 off code making it $479. Today the bundle is $579 and even with the 17% off code, the final price is $480.57. Buyer is $1.57 worse off.

    • Jack is back!

    • Unless the eg CPU/mobo company directs retailers to make actual promo price cuts, Jack is almost always around to spoil the fun for standard stocked items

    • Today the bundle price further jacked up to $599

    • whose the seller, i want this deal

        • I bought the A129 Duo Plus + HW3 kit + CPL filter bundle. Came down to ~$220. Paid with eBay gift cards. Seemed to be a reasonable deal for me.

Had a Unifi camera in my watch list, it was $323 the other day, no discount, now it's $399 with a 17% discount… every. single. time.

I am truly amazed that they get away with this shit every time they have these offers

    • name and shame the seller

These eBay 'sales' are just too time consuming to find a real bargain. I don't even pay attention to them any more.

  • Happy Halloween. Enjoy the Jack-o-Lantern specials…

  • Switch pro controller $75 roughly ( at time of posting)

  • I've got a discount price offer from a seller pending on an item that is also eligible for the 17% off. Does anyone know if I commit the offer, can I still use the discount at checkout? The discount thing on the item says "or 17% off your best offer" but I can't seem to find anything concrete as to if it will work.

    • +1

I found something on Amazon once much cheaper than eBay. Contacted the eBay seller to match the price and he did. Then used the 17% discount code on top of that without a problem. Not sure if you accept a sellers offer it will be the same though.

      • It did indeed work, accepted the offer and was able to input the code at checkout.

  • Any PlayStation 5 deals?? =D

  • They email us prior to these deals. We have to absorb a portion of it hence the price jacking.

  • Anyone know the chance of these deals being included in the 20%/22% off tomorrow?

    • Unlikely, eBay codes hardly ever stack.

      • As in, whether the items on here would be 20%/22% off instead in about 9 hours time?
