Usually sells for the $350 to $360 mark at stores. This is a good choice motherboard for those going for a white build.

Hold for black friday or grab this? Been piling up parts in sale lately, so not in a hurry to build. Funny enough it is a white build haha. Also, no wifi or Bluetooth on this if I am correct.
Also, cheaper on Amazon - $272 (japan import though)
It has a m.2 e-key slot to add a WiFi + bluetooth card (Intel WiFi 6E version is about $22 from AliE). However, while the integrated backplate is generally a good thing, in this situation, it makes it harder to install the antennas. USB 3.2 gen 2x2 via the front panel connector is a bit annoying because a case supporting that is hard to find and probably isn't cheap. Buying cheap cable to put that USB 3.2 gen 2x2 at the back from AliExpress is not that easy (most of the cheap ones only support USB 3.2 gen 2). The 3rd NVMe / m.2 slot is PCIe gen 3 x2, a bit disappointing, but still better than not having it.
If Amazon is selling it at $272, why spend more? One of our retailers listed it at an even lower price, but no stock at all so that doesn't count. No active AMD promotion on CPUs at the moment so I think there is probably no need to rush and build an AM5 system right now.
Thank you for your detailed response! Was just reading about it, I think waiting might be a better option in this situation.
I have Corsair 4000d icue which if I am correct doesn't have that USB 3.2 gen 2x2 front panel connector. But the information helps greatly for future purchases.
I think Corsair 4000d icue's USB-C front panel could still be connected, but you only get USB 3.2 gen 2 (not gen 2x2). Corsair uses an old name (USB 3.1) and for the USB-A port, Corsair calls it USB 3.0.
It's probably only an issue if you actually have USB 3.2 gen 2x2 devices. The connector looks the same as USB 3.2 gen 2 so to really get USB 3.2 gen 2x2, you need to get the right one. However, USB 3.2 itself is a bit of a mess (because technically USB 3.2 gen 2 could be 1x2 or 2x1… so if the port has to support both and the port is reversible, it could be 2x2 capable… best not to assume that's the case though).
Sorry im trying to understand this more. I NEED wifi and would like inbuilt but this board doesnt have it. I currently have wifi through usb. Can i put a wifi card? or something that plugs into this board with wifi antennas on the mobo out the back like wifi boards?
You need something like this:
https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/25097/107681/ax210-kit…
However, currently, such kit costs more than buying a PCIe x1 card with Intel AX210, so the main reasons to go down that path are:
Problem is, with that kit, if you want to move the antennas the antenna holes on the motherboard backplate, you need to unscrew them and then put them on the backplate. It can get a bit fiddly. It is easier to just use the kit as is.
Another alternative is to just get something like the below and use the PCIe gen 4 x1 slot instead:

With that simpler alternative approach, remember to connect the USB cable to one of your internal USB2 header, otherwise bluetooth won't work.
This boards got a Lot of RMA issues regarding the power delivery system
Not worth the risk, when you can get a tomahawks or even an msi 670Pro on sales at this price occasionally
Do you have more information on that? Is it just that board or other boards as well?
I don't understand why none of Asrock's boards support 2x2 in the rear, that's such an obvious flaw. I totally avoid asrock as a result when I am looking at PCPP
I really hope cases would offer front USB 3.2 gen 2x2, 2 x USB 3.2 gen 2 (or at least gen 1) and 2 x USB 2.0 ports standard.
Asrock certainly is quite weird. Given that most cases are still way behind in ports, a USB 3.2 gen 2x2 at the back would be good. Weirdly, Thunderbolt 4 header is provided, but that Asrock Thunderbolt 4 card is expensive and take up a PCIe x4 slot.
Have a mixed feeling about USB 3.2 gen 2x2 because Intel went for Thunderbolt (so my NUC uses Thunderbolt 4), Macs use Thunderbolt as well. USB 4 not needing to support USB 3.2 gen 2x2 is just there for Intel / Apple. Intel basically screwed USB 3.2 gen 2x2.
Apparently the newer releases now let you have 2x2 in the rear.
But only on your birthday…
What you are seeing is the mini ATX version of this board on Amazon.
microATX version I think.
Hold
This is bottom of the barrel AM5 quality
There was a Msi X670 on a sale not long ago for less than this
B650 tomahwak get's down to about 290 australian on amazon deal's
HOLD
The power rectifiers on this are Dogshit..
The Audio is beyond shit..the audio chipset is a 2011 released AC897,with almost no noise depop..and no amplifaction in the dac
wow good find. getting a reasonably priced AM5 board has been a pain and i had to cave with an uninspired priced tomahawk
the tomahawk is many MANY times better than this board.
For the most part, yes. However, for some reason, MSI doesn't put m.2/NVMe PCIe gen 5 x4 on B650 Tomahawk board.
B650 boards are currently overpriced though.
Been rocking Asrock since 2017, they do the job. Just don’t expect all the bells and whistles.
