    All time low?

    Nah ;)

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/789022

Also same price at JB if people prefer to shop there

    • Thanks 👍 . I wasn't sure that's why I have put the question mark.

    • +1

      How did I miss that?
Holding out until it’s around that price again…
Fingers crossed for a 75” at a reasonable price too.

    • +2

Yeah use code CLICKVISUAL20 to get this same price at JB

Anyone with any OLEDs 3+ years old able to chime in on longevity so far/any burn in issues? my current Samsung TV cost a whole 900 back in 2017 however the backlight is starting to fade/it's becoming noticeable during brighter content. It's also in a well-lit room and max brightness sucksssss.

Trying to decide between a QLED / QD-OLED / Mini LED / OLED style etc.

Primary use is TV Shows/Movies but a lot of gaming as well. We use an nvidia shield and are often a little lazy about leaving it sit on the homescreen/letting it turn off itself/go into screensaver etc. Though I'd probably consider changing habits with an OLED.

I'd rather it last 5+ years without ANY issues/burn in or otherwise.. Leaning towards a Samsung QLED or something generally.. (Like a QN85C or similar, 65" also) but feels silly buying a non-OLED for OLED prices??

My C7 (2017 release) had significany red pixel burn in and LG replaced the panel for free (this was only a few months ago). All in all their customer service was excellent.

The kids cause it though with their constant Netflix menus always on the screen, leaving on pause etc.

We now have a 77" CS and had it about 12 months, not a issue whatsoever, same as the day we bought it.

      • Ohh that's awesome re LG replacing the panel for free. Damn. It's just one of those things I'd rather last 5-7+ years ya know.. So this gives me some confidence. Thanks!

        • +3

2017 C7 series was still somewhat early for OLED tech.

Their screen burn in / image retention and overall tech has come on quite a bit since then and they have installed more safeguards in their OS to remedy any irregular issues, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Once you get one you'll be blown away by the picture quality, I know I still am after all these years!

      • +1

Have a 2017 c6 and it has significant discolouration. Specifically the yellow in the middle of the screen fades down to green. Also have some burn in of channel 7 logo on top right.
Spoke to support but was told that’s it’s out of warranty and I’m out of luck.

        • That's annoying.. Did they quote you a repair cost or just said too bad go buy a new TV? (I imagine the cost to repair wouldn't be worth it, though)

          • +1

@ReaperX22: They just said ‘it’s out of warranty but here’s a company that can service it for you’.

I have an lg 65 c1, not quite 2.5 yrs old. Used for general tv, netflix etc and xbox. Was used as main tv until 3 months ago. Absolutely no burn in. Although it did just blow a power board a few weeks ago which was fixed today. I also have a 77 c3 that is about 3 months old which is the main tv now and no issues with that one so far.

    • +4

I've got a 55" LG C1 from 2021, and use it a bunch for Netflix, Disney+, etc, and a lot of gaming. We've definitely left it on a menu for longer than anyone would be comfortable with and come back horrified with ourselves a couple of hours later.
Zero issues and it's been about 2.5 years.

    • +1

have a 65 C8 ~5 years old. no issues with TV hardware itself and general webOS been great. very happy with the choice and would buy another if anything happened to this one.

main gripes if I had to be picky
      * the lack of updates to some apps. more the vendor and keeping them up to date with webOS. Kayo is the worst with frequent buffering, but Kayo is a sub-par app on most devices)
      * Remote print - lost majority of printing on the button remote within weeks. Called LG and they basically said must be me and my hand…. Never had issues with any remote prior and I think it was a bad batch but now its a memory game.

      • Spose the OS isn't a dealbreaker for me given we're using the Shield anyway (and if my shield dies I'd probably stick with Google TV sticks etc).

Remotes can be annoying to deal with but I spose it's something I could replace with a universal though becoming harder now with the discontinuation of Logitechs lineup..

C1 from 2021 with at least 5+ hours usage daily. No burn in issues and still working great for movies and PS5.

    • +2

I have an OLED 55” B7T, 6 years old now I think. Still looks as good as the day I bought it. Still using it daily for streaming, gaming and YouTube, never had any issues.
Was worried when people were saying that there was burn in issues but I haven’t had that problem at any point.
Looking to upgrade now and use this one as a spare room tv.

    • +1

I have a 65 B6T from early 2018, zero issue so far. admittedly we watch way less tv these days as most of our media consumptions are on the PC or ipad but still a good amount of usage (standard tv, netflix youtube and gaming) over the first 3.5 years

    • +1

Got a Hisense OLED 5 years ago and it's still going great. no burn in issues.

    • +1

Also have a C1 65 inch, bought end of 2021. Use it mainly for movies and tv, some gaming on the side.

No burn-in issues, some ghosting sometimes from like the Disney+ profile icons, but it goes away pretty quick.

Probably the best purchase i ever made and dont see myself going back from OLEDs.

Bought the gold concierge from Good guys for 3 years, haven't had to use it once and hope i dont have to for more years to come.

    • I have a 2019 Panasonic 65" OLED and I don't have any discolouration or burn in that I can see. We mostly watch movies and gaming on the Switch docked to the TV.

    • B7 from 2017. Had one issue with the 25% window issue a year or two ago but they replaced the panel free of charge (doubt I'll get lucky a second time though).

    • +3

I have an LG CX with over 6000 hours on it. Gets all sorts of use: FTA TV, letterboxed movies, 4K HDR movies, Kayo with the stupid static Fox logo in the corner, Nintendo 64.

Absolutely no signs of image retention. Paid $3500 for the TV and worth every cent.

    • Have a Panasonic OLED, bought about 4 years ago - a lot of use (movies, tv, games) and no burn in issues.

    • +1

I bought my C9 4 years ago and used about 4-5 hours a day. It's still perfect as the day I bought it, no issues.

  • This or Samsung S90C? - Both about the same price.

    • +1

Depends on your setup (soundbar, home theatre etc.) and what you mostly watch. The Samsung's lack both Dolby Vision and DTS audio, so if you watch a lot of 4K Blurays then the LG is probably the better choice

    • s90c is nearly $1000 cheaper on JB.
Edit: sorry I meant for the 77"

    • This. Samsung don’t do Dolby Vision.

  • try to price match with appliance online and use this code after.
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/807126

    • I'd be surprised if this worked. The fine print which is actually big cause its on main page says 'discount is calculated off the current ticket price.'

      • I think it's worth to try. Check with jb or tgg on the phone.
I didn't try since the c1 is still good for me. My only gripe is it's brightness during day time is not enough.

        • +2

In the past when I've had price matches jb send me a link which takes me to a page which is just for payment. Didn't notice a place to apply a coupon. Would love to be proven wrong though!

          • +1

@Pufff: Oh you're right. No field to put in code.
I was thinking of gift card. My bad.

          • +2

@Pufff: Just went through this process today with JB. You can't apply the coupons to the price matched offers. It errors on you. I confirmed this with chat as well.
            Sucks, but good idea!

  • Damn, paid $3300 for this TV a couple of months back through Appliance Central.
    Good TV, highly recommend

    • I got mine last week :(

    • These deals are expected, TV prices always drop in October/November.

  • This is a Beautiful TV, I got it in July with the other deal.
    Very nice.
Registered for the good guys cash, and was able to buy the missus a food processor too.

  • Mmmmmm….

Purchase now and use my 15% off Ultimate gift cards or wait for Black Friday???

Also, this or the G3? The TV will be in a lounge that have blinds, so I can make the room pretty dark.

  • I paid about $300 more just about 11 months ago for the C2, it was on sale.

Damn, TVs and computers get cheap pretty quickly

    • That's why the ATO use it with a 50% weighting in the CPI calculations.

  • I got the TV from JB yesterday after getting them to price match Appliance Central. Do JB have price guarantee?

    • Not to be mean, but why didn't you wait until Black Friday? Only 1 month away.

      • +1

I got it for $3050 after getting JB to price match Appliance Central. I feel the deal is good enough. I am not sure whether the price will be better on black Friday and whether I will need to compete on stock level.

Another reason is I never got anything on black Friday, so I am not confident I will get the TV at better price

        • +1

Fair enough. Good point about the stock levels.

  • pulled the trigger, bought today $2800 from Retra which inc $300 gift card

    • Nice! How did you get that?

    • +1

Me too! $2863.20. Then the $300 GC on top.

      $2956 less 5% for RAC = $2808.20 + $55 delivery.

    • Was this a negotiated deal?

      • If you're an RAC member, you get 5% off. No negotiation required.

I tried getting JB's and GG to match via chat but no success.

        • Yep… I used the GC to buy a Samsung soundbar today, 10% off

    • Have you received your gift card yet?

  • Is it worth to get the extended warrant at JB HIFI?

    • +1

No. Extended warranties are not worth it. You're covered by the ACL.

  • Anyone buying the C3's? Very quiet here…..

  • Seems like the A95k deal is better, edges c3 in almost all categories

    • link? Edit: Found it. HN… Yuck…

      • Just price match with Sony, stack with 10% welcome code and pray for cashreward cashback?

    • Didn't even know about this deal/TV. Thanks for letting me know.

Looking at rtings.com, A95k vs C3 they look pretty similar. The Sony would probably be better in lighter lounge areas, I can control the darkness in my lounge.

Happy with the RV deal, $2563.20 (including delivery and the $300 GC).

  • Thanks OP, paid a total of $2,660.40 by stacking this with the Ultimate Gift Card deal going on and buying as many $100 cards as I could be bothered with. Probably wouldn't do again, gotta do manual data entry for a good hour

    • +2

Fun isn't it! I bought a Sony A6700 from JB's in August using mostly $50 gift cards.

The cashier was happy that I had the card scratched and ready though.
