Almost buy 1 meal, get one free~That's because it was a "Foody Semi Final"
There was Burrito v Dumplings and Curry v Falafel. Whichever gets more orders gets selected for this week. Don't know how dumplings won though tbh I couldn't get any discounts with them and burritos I got 2 for $6 lolThis will be the last week of these.
Never knew it was a competition, thought it was just a promotion thing - does UberEats have a website for it showing the winners?
Not sure if there's an actual website, emails got sent out each week with a playoff grid and the one who got the most orders

I got the free curry deal on Friday - however the wretched uber driver took the whole order and never delivered. Uber refunded instantly but I lost the ability to get a free curry again :(

Should've contacted Uber support, I did and while they couldn't reinstate the promo they added $20 to my account to compensate for the free item

Like what pennypincher said above you, try contacting Uber support, they might load credit in your account instead as compensation 😊

Well, I guess I don’t need new glasses just yet.
- Open Uber eats
- Tap 'Browse' in the bottom bar
- There should be a square for "Latest deals". Tap this.
- You can filter by "uber one" by tapping the "uber one" in the top menu.
The offer for this for me is a brown labeled "Free item (Spend $20)" and most of it is at indian/chinese/thai resturants. I hope this helps. If you tap into a participating restaurant, its usually the first thing that shows up and says "Participating restaurant offer"
Thanks for the instructions, but even after following them I don’t see any “Free item (Spend $20)” offers.
I’ll try again after 5pm (AEST) for Brisbane, just in case.
The banner will only show up if there are eligible restaurants in your area.
I put my location as Brisbane, QLD and I can see the banner with 50+ restaurants.

@CodeXD: Thanks @CodeXD, I tried the link but still don’t see a banner nor any “Free item (Spend $20)” offers on the restaurants listed.
For good measure, I also uninstalled then reinstalled the Uber Eats app, and restarted my Samsung phone. Nada.
@toasty: When did you join uber one? Can take about a week for these promos to come through especially if you joined in the middle of a promo period.
@CodeXD: I only joined Uber One again today using the PayPal promo, so that’s probably the issue. Thanks again for all your help!
@j0hnd0e: Try changing your address to Brisbane, QLD and see if anything pops up. If it does then it means there are no eligible restaurants in your area.

The banner is really obvious on desktop but somewhat hidden on mobile app.
Tried all the steps, no dice. Only green labels no brown labels.
The freebies from my locals are all proper serves and a lot of them have $20 meals that are enough for 2, so that's 3 meals for $20. Not bad with the 6 months free from Paypal.

Nah the banner on this says grand final I wouldn't expect another one next week unless it was an entirely new promo
If anyone has a China Bar near them, I'd suggest their free Laksa with any of the meals over $20. The portion sizes are very reasonable.
