  • so how much does it cost ???

can't determine if it's a bargain or not without the price.

it's a bit pointless posting something without first researching whether it can be found cheaper elsewhere…

This is where you come in jv. You seem to have plenty of time for research. Why not call the number and tell us all what it costs.

          "2. State the price."
"7. How does the price compare to elsewhere?"

        • Lol, I bet whisps of steam come from ears when people criticize your posts tightarse :)

Yeah, just like all those discount from energy companies, pointless if you don't check the unit price.

  • Its $39 at my local coles express. should be the same pretty much within metro area (WA)

While it's always good to get a discount this one isn't that good.
Coles Express in SE Melbourne charge $38.95 to swap and go a 8.5kg tank.
My local Bunnings in Fountain Gate is currently doing a 8.5kg swap and go for $19.85 - nearly a cheap as a refill.

    • doing a 8.5kg swap and go for $19.85

      that's a good price…

mind you, the lpg probably only costs them around $5

    • Yes Bunnings Nunawading also only charged me $19.80 for 8.5 kg. Normal price listed as $31.95 so not sure if it's a special but I wasn't arguing. Meanwhile nearest Coles Express wanted $38.50 so not worth it even with $5 discount.

      • did you have a masters hardware within close proximity? because masters have those tanks for $19.80 and i suspect bunnings is catching on to the price being offered by the competition.

  • According to bunnings a 9kg bottle is filled to 8.5kg. So how much gas is in a 8.5kg bottle?

    • About 8.5kg I suppose.

  • Actually I think this is a good deal. There are those of us who don't live near a Bunnings, and also those of us who run out of gas outside of Bunnings hours and/or need it ASAP. Coles Express is a convenience thing. Better price at Bunnings? Yep. Are they around the corner when I need them? Nope.
