From where they getting the fuel, also been cut

They would have small stockpiles all over the place. Plus powerbanks that have been charged.

          • +1

@Outrageous: Exactly. Besides, little solar charging battery banks have been out for yonks. I bought one must of been 7 or so years ago still works great. They would be vastly more efficient and cheap now.

            • +1

              @Xizor: What brand model

            • +9

@Xizor: Do you not get that GAZA has been under blockade for the last 15 years?
              Only basics allowed in

            • @Xizor:

They would be vastly more efficient and cheap now.

You are talking about an area the size of an airport with 2 million people who are starving. There is no feasible way to purchase "solar battery banks" even if they had the money to do so. Man, it amazes me how oblivious people in this country have become to what human beings in other countries have to go through.

        • Egypt?

        • +3

same way they got those missiles into the country….

          In reality, that’s what happening.

      • must be using the same telco that russia uses to write messages on missiles and sends to ukraine.

Israel, the Palestinian Territories and Afghanistan

Includes more than Gaza. But stay angry 😂

      • -1

        The full "T" package. Cough.

Have to wonder if the tables were turned, how would Israel feel about Palestine cutting off their electricity?

      • +15

They'd have cut the electricity off the moment the first rocket was fired. For Israel to supply them with electricity and water for decades of attacks is astounding.

        • +7

This whole situation is Israel’s own creation. Palestine just disbanding and the people spreading across the world was never an option.

          • +13

@AustriaBargain: Are you sure? Wasn’t it the Palestinian people who did not accept the UN two state solution way back when?

This geopolitical conflict is not straightforward. Saying it is entirely Israel or Palestine’s creation or responsibility is patently incorrect.

            • +1

@Nuggets: Could blame Germany first for the holocaust which caused the Jews to move back to Israel.

              • @Circly: Could blame France for a cumbersome and humiliating treaty (of Versailles) that wore Germany down to the point of not caring.

                • @fantombloo: or the entente cordiale from 1904 which eventually dragged half of Europe into the first World War…

              • @Circly: Aliyah in modern times has been going on since the late 1800s, way before the holocaust.

Persecution in Germany is actually referred to as the fifth wave of aliyah.

              • +3

@Circly: it was the british who controlled palestine and decided to carve it up.

            • +12

@Nuggets: It isn't straight forward no, so many vested interests. Israel were the terrorist taking over Palestine and now with the geopolitical significance of this area the help of the West in the US giving them political, military and monetary support to get a foothold in the area.

Throw in some fundamentalist Christians that believe Jesus won’t come back unless Israel is held by the Jewish, add a little guilt about the holocaust with a touch of some Zionist right wing crazy Jewish people and you now know the Invaders as the good guys and the land owners as the Terrorists.

              So much geopolitical.

            • +1

@Nuggets: Have you not seen the maps that show the constant expansion of Israeli settling into the homes/land that was original proposed under the UN?

Let’s say Palestine doesn’t want a two state solution, Israel has the power to enact it, yet they are the ones who say they want a two state solution while allowing more demolishing of homes and establishing new settler suburbs.

              • @Soldier: I’m not arguing that Israel is blameless so not sure why you feel the need to convince me otherwise.

            • +1

@Nuggets: I can understand why, I'm thinking if someone enters my home and occupies it without leaving. and, if the solution is divide my home I can understand why they didn't agree.

          • +2

            @AustriaBargain:

This whole situation is Israel’s own creation.

So much ignorance is so few words…

Palestine just disbanding and the people spreading across the world was never an option.

You're right it never was an option. There have been many many options over the decades but some people prefer murder over talking. Careful who you choose as your heroes…

        • +6

For Israel to supply them with electricity and water for decades

It is nice for israel to give palestinians what was once their water back

          • +3

@Drakesy: Yes. Basic human rights. While they are blockaded in their homes. Unable to leave. No international airport. No supplies.

      • +13

Regretful that you had launched a random attack on civilians without any strategic purpose?

        • +2

without any strategic purpose is a bold statement.
Saudi Arabia quickly changed their mind about recognising Israel after this attack. That's a huge loss for them.

          • +1

@Mi2: You mean that Saudi Arabia are taking some sort of moral high ground?
            Laughable.

            • +2

@gasman70: You clearly missed the point.

      • +1

Idk man… instead of buying thousands of rockets to fire at their neighbours maybe they should have stocked up on more than 6-days worth of fuel for their power station…. Isreal didn't disable or attack the power station in Gaza it just ran out of fuel.

        • +2

Do you not get that GAZA has been under blockade for the last 15 years?
Only basics allowed in, and it's not like ISR asks how much fuel you need more like this is how much your getting, you sort it out

      • Except what you don't realize is, many don't pay for it. They steal utilities and don't pay for them. Yet Israel still provides them (until they, you know, find a few hundred people shot and beheaded… that tends to drive one to turn off the freebie tap).

    • +28

not only that, all medical and food access for civilians has been cut off from all sides by Israel even sea

        • +5

Kidnappers calling it foul doesn't sound right

          • +21

@amsaini15: You’ve got to be an animal to take babies and toddlers… Seriously.

            • +11

@fookos: they did not take babies, they actually let a mother and her kids go its on video look it up, clearly you are siding with a certain group and overlooking the years of torment and killings of Palestinian woman and children that never gets reported on by western media

                • @Clear: oh good one, original

                  • +4

@msf: Thanks I didn't see that update. I did see the burnt bodies of people and a baby at a bus stop in Israel. Some things can't be unseen.

                • +4

@Clear: You need to check your sources. Blind are those who refuse to see.

                  • +2

@strupper2003: If OzBargain rules allowed it I'd happily link you photos and videos of all the dead civilians on both sides.

Dunno how anyone could support the killing of innocent people. Let alone the burning of a baby. They don't get to choose where they're born.

                • -5

@Clear: That's fabricated, do your research

              • @Roe Jogan: They beheaded the babies. Raped women. That’s worse than animal.

                • -1

@Iwantthatbargain: The beheaded babies are still a rumour that wa spread by israeli forces

                  • +1

@Drakesy: saying it didn't happen does not make it true

                    • +2

@Ade99: Saying it did happen doesn't make it true either?

                  • @Drakesy: It has been verified that Hamas was responsible for the deaths of babies following rumors of fake news. Although the exact number, which is reported to be around 40, remains subject to confirmation.

                    • +1

                      @gto21:

It has been verified that Hamas was responsible for the deaths of babies following rumors of fake news

I'm not debating this though? And it goes both ways, Israel has killed hundreds if not thousands of them in bombing gaza…
It's the beheadings that are rumours all traced back to a single Israeli source that hasn't been confirmed.

                      • @Drakesy: From where should the source originate? Please provide more specific details.

                        • +1

@gto21: Well at the moment it's just hearsay until photographic evidence is provided. Even the Whitehouse got caught out that they'd never actually seen evidence and yet reported it.

                          • @Drakesy: Where can we reliably find accurate news? Even events like 9/11 are disputed by some.

                            • @gto21:

@Drakesy: Israel's actions are confirmed, while claims about Hamas attacks are questionable? I have heard that some consider Hamas to be pacifist.

                                • +2

@gto21: You do realise the only media coming out of there is the Israel side, Gaza has effectively been cut off from the rest of the world.

                                  And no, there still unconfirmed….

                                  • -2

@Drakesy: Do you also believe that the Hamas Charter is fraudulent? Can we have confidence in what Hamas proclaims? Perhaps it's counterfeit as well. The genuine Hamas charter advocates for peace and amicable relations with Jews in Israel.

                                    • +1

@gto21: Note sure what rabbit hole you're going down with this one.

                                      • @Drakesy: Is 9/11 fake as well?

                                        • @gto21: Now you've lost me

                                          • @Drakesy: You were lost a long time ago in the land where Hamas aimed to promote love, peace, and harmony with Jews.

                            • @gto21:

Where can we reliably find accurate news? Even events like 9/11 are disputed by some.

Hamas' official telegram channels have a feed of photos and videos, as well as links to their livestreams.

                              • @Clear: That's what I thought.

                              • @Clear: When someone sez try the xx telegram channel, how do people find these channels (not that I want to go there) - just curious. It was the same with the russian military force, they had a channel and everyone was quoting things from that channel.

                                • @Ifndefx: People on Reddit link them. There's some specific subreddits dedicated to war videos that have them. Reddit admins will remove a lot of the straight up torture and execution videos.

You can't. ALL media is biased.

Mark Twain famously said "If you don't read the newspaper, you're uninformed. If you read the newspaper, you're mis-informed."

Try switching it off and see how much better your life is.

Just because your hear it. Doesn’t make it true. Lots of misinformation being spread, and it’s a clear Zionist tactic to let people like us here on the west turn a blind eye to that what is going on in the form of ethnic cleansing and families being displaced.

                • +1

                  @Iwantthatbargain: see here

There were no images to suggest militants had beheaded babies — a particularly explosive accusation that first emerged in Israel's media and initially confirmed by Israeli officials.

                  Check mate?

                • -1

@abacus: skynews and PBS lmfao a chain of channels owned by jewish conglomerates are one sided and will obviously twist the facts to make the Palestinians look bad. you need to do your own research. all you have been doing is linking "fake news" sites owned by jewish media, whats funny is in your head you probably think you won the argument its hilarious

              • @Roe Jogan: The initial rumor suggesting that Hamas was killing babies turned out to be accurate, as there is now confirmation that such incidents did occur.

              • -1

@Roe Jogan: What garbage TV station are you watching!? They put a dozen bullets in one baby for a start, not to count the couple of hundred more people of all ages left dead on the street. What station it is should be closed down.

            • +2

@fookos: They actually shot, beheaded and burned alive toddlers and babies. Taking them hostage is the ‘nicer’ act.

            • @fookos: Animals are not as cruel as the terrorists who kill babies, cut off their heads and take some as hostages.
