Just spotted this. Guessing it's a price match for a Bosch kit as part of Prime deals, and would expect it to expire soon.
Ryobi 18V 4Ah ONE+ Hammer Drill Kit $98.49 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store/ OnePass) @ Bunnings

Thank you for the pics!
Not available in store, nor click and collect. Can do $15 delivery charge….
Actually, they can't. It defaults back to my local store and then says, delivery not available….🤦🤦🤦
Had the same issue - expanded my store search, set the store with stock as "own", proceeded to checkout then changed back to delivery, worked :) Finally get to use my cheap OnePass membership!
How far away was your store?
@Spending2Much: The one with stock is just under 20kms away
Is it big different between this and brushless?
No. Reality is that most brushless tools are only degrees better in performance and longevity. I have used both brushed and brushless tools over many years and I have not found any real difference in the long term.
I have used Milwaukee and Makita proffessionally with, brushed and brushless tools, and they are both more than adequate in a professional environment.
In fact the only cordless tools that I have had fail were all Milwaukee. I had a rotary hammer, a ratchet,, 2 x chargers and 3 x batteries fail within warranty, To their credit, all were replaced. Never had a Makita or Ryobi tool or battery fail within warranty.
And I am not hard on tools.Still have the same Makita cordless drills from about 7 years ago.
Thank you mate
Really helpful !!Sorry man, I didnt really explain much.
Brushed motors have carbon brushes that are basically press on a rotor. They work very well but they do eventually wear out. When this happens, the motor stops working,
Brushless motors are completely different, They work with on induction. There is no wear on the commutator so they can potentially last longer. However, the electronics can be more prone to failure due to various things like excessive heat, vibration etc,
But long story short is that the majority of cordless tools do not need to be brushless. There really is no benefit unless the tool needs to have more power. A good example is something like a rotary hammer drill or a circular saw etc
Most cordless tools work just fine being brushed.
This has been by far my favourite Ryobi ONE+ deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/787086
And its been bothering me for very long time, The whole discussion about battery care is total Bull %hit.
I have been using fast chargers for many years. The majority of my batteries are well over 5 years old. I rapid charge them, I rotate them and they are all still all working perfectly.
If I’m starting out with a DIY, is the 8 piece set for $699 still good value?
Even if you bought the individual pieces at ozbargain all time lows, most likely it will cost more?
I believe that that would be a fantastic start. It gets you the key tools at a great price. You can add on from there.
Ended and missed it 😞
Bummer, looks like you only missed out by minutes! Hopefully there will be something similar for the Black Friday sales next month if you aren't in a hurry.
It arrived already, that was fast. Can't believe I just spent $200 on drills just because you guys said the battery is worth more than the drill.
Got mine delivered with OnePass at 10am, after it was ordered 7pm previous evening!!
I know rite, thinking of getting a year of onepass if it can save a few trips to bunnings et al.
Needed a new battery and this was a great cheap option and as an added bonus I have a hammer drill now! Got one yesterday, thanks OP!
OOS at all my local stores :( even bought online only for it to be refunded
Picked up my order today and was surprised, to get the kit with 1 x 5.0mAh and 1x2.0mAh + charger + bag + drill.

So keen, but I started buying up cheap Ozito batteries and making my own Ozito/Ryobi adaptors.
Cut the top connector off a failed/dead Ryobi, buy an Ozito USB adaptor ($17) & a Ryobi tool lanyard 2x clip kit ($16), take off the battery connector parts, solder them together with some wire, sandwich it all together with screws and small bolts with a bit of cut-to-size Perspex in the middle to screw into, and then finally epoxy the Ryobi battery top onto it. Hot glue exposed parts as required :)
It really is a Frankenstein. Everytime I have a failed Ryobi battery I build another one!
