    • That past link was expired as it was part of the one day sales.

I picked up two, and haven't used them much (have just filled one with music and plugged it into my car) so I can't comment on speed, but they did have some 'locking' software or something on them for use as secured drives .. didn't really look a it - just deleted.

      • Nothing mention on the other deal about "one day sale", has been running for a week at least.

    • No link to this in that post.. good deal so worth a seperate listing. Ends 24/9

  • Thanks just got a few.

  • $5.95 shipping though.

    • Pick up in store?

  • went to HN asply and Fortitude valley today. they dont have. only have the 8GB ones

    • How much did they want for the 8GGB ones?

      • $8 or $8 something. can't really remember. less than $9.

    • They have heaps in the city, I'd guess over 100.

    • They had heaps at Oxley today.

good cheap average USB. Will come in handy with school/uni

  • I saw hundreds of the 4GB one marked $2 at Queens St HN in Brisbane this afternoon.

    • All 3 stores around here have plenty. You can check store stock online at HN website.

so handy to keep a few of these at work & at home.. good for copying videos for friends as file size too large to email, and no access to fb/youtube at work etc.. still remember someone nicked my $20 usb few years back ha ha now i don't care if they don't return the $2 one!!

Cheers ordered 5 online to pickup in store, will come in handy for giving photos/files etc to friends and family :)

  • Thanks. Just ordered 5. Notice on online order that it recommends other products before checkout. Since when is HN selling toilet bowl? For $499, I believe it's much comfy than what I'm sitting on now typing this :)

  • Bought 5 of them yesterday. Transfer speed is decent, small size and key ring slot makes it quite handy though.

  • bought a 16gb 2 years ago died after 13 months. So keep your receipt just in case.

    • I sincerely hope you're joking.

  • went into harvey norman this morning at alexandria and they still had on sale.

    • Sweet

  • I have a tonne of 4 GB sticks at home. One day I needed to install Windows 7 via USB and, of course, they were around 200 MB too small. Now I only go for 8 GB+ ;)

    • +2

Eh? 4GB has always been enough for me to install Windows 7 off (64-bit version at that). A windows 7 ISO is only around 3.6gb iirc

    • 4gb worked for me too- about 3.8gb

  • Beh back to regular pricing.

Someday I shall acquire a USB.

Deal expired on 24/9. Deal posted after 6 o'clock at night - after the store had closed, on the day the deal expired. Thanks for, well, absolutely nothing. But on the off chance that HN would be slow in removing the sale signs, I did go to HN Albury this morning. Plenty of stock left, but all returned to $4 each. A complete waste of time and petrol.

you could have clicked the link last night and ordered online yesterday to pickup at store today :(

If I was willing to check the Ozbargain website multiple times each day, that would have been feasible. But since I check the emailed newsletter once a day when it arrives in my inbox early each morning, any deal posted the day before (on the actual day of expiry) is completely useless.

        • +2

          "Thanks for, well, absolutely nothing."

That's pretty harsh. The deal was applicable to all those who saw it in time as they could order online - why don't you just neg the deal as well?

        • …since I check the emailed newsletter once a day…

Then it's your own fault for missing out and your own fault for not checking that there was stock at the sale price before you wasted your precious time and petrol. Pull your head in, you sook.

Silly me. What on earth was I thinking? Expecting a daily Ozbargain newsletter which filters out the deals that HAVE ALREADY EXPIRED! Btw, the deal wasn't only available online, twit. But by all means, let's all start posting details of one-day only deals in the evenings after the store closes. It so helps to pad out the next day's newsletter with USELESS info…

        • But it was available online. Meaning it was relevant for every single user that checked the OzBargain website than. But of course, the whole world is crazy - not you.

        • -1

AND it was COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT for EVERY person receiving the newsletter the next day… But go ahead, neg this comment as well. How dare anyone point out that the newsletter filter could be improved!
