No, it does not. Says "non stock" very clearly on amazon.
There's a bunch of different air fryers on sale, not sure what to go with but leaning towards the Philips 5000 Series Air Fryer XL?
XXL is my preference.
Is this decent? Only 2 people in my household but we have no more bench space. Planning to store it in the cabinet and put it out as needed.
i like your name mate ;)
Thank you
I promise you they are clean :D
make sure clean and wash it everyday alright lol
@syaugi: Always always lol
I just bought this one (its bigger brother) supposed to be the number 1 best seller and ive been running it over and over out side and still cant get rid of the smell :( thinking of returning it.
https://www.amazon.com.au/Instant-Vortex-Plus-5-7L-Fryer/dp/…Max temp for about 40 mins worked for me. I think i did it twice
illl give it a try, i was running it for around 25mins on max, done it maybe 10 times still has a smell, even added some rice bran oil to it for the last couple of as per a friends recommendations.
Yours has zero smell now?
Just the smell of food since im a filthy degen and dont wash after every use
Remember there is some packing material inside you have to remove. Might have been a plastic thing or two i dont remember
Heat it, wash with mild and warm water. Then repeat is what i did
@justaddwater: stay tuned, must have ran it for 3 hours at least over the last 2 days, cooked in it 3 times now, washed it several times, defiantly no packaging inside, move the unit back inside (was outside), will cook again tonight (under the rangehood) and if i can smell anything yucky back to Jeff it goes, he can use it!
I cant see it holding up for many years as the tray and grill are super thin (think cheapest cake tray style)
@noslappers: Fwiw i have the 5.7L
@noslappers: its ok now!
I have both the old small one and the 5.7.
They don’t smell after about 3 or 4 uses, Relax, great machines.
Remember to remove all the packing cardboard though.
What is 4 portions of chips?
One small serving.
I got a kmart one (3.75L) during COVID and was working ok (except the non-stick layer has a small spot of peeled off)
thinking to replace with this one
any recommendation whether this would perform better?How would this compare to one of the OG $59 Kmart ones? Easier to clean, size, noise? Anyone able to compare?
I also got a Kmart one which has a digital timer, and using the traditional basket type
just saw a review that this one doesnt have a basket
while the advantage is having more space to cook food
but major con is you can not just flip food from tray to the plate (eg. chips) as all the oil will be poured to the food as wellWas thinking to replace my kmart one but now decided not to
Good points thank you. We have a smaller place and the old Kmart one just fits in a cupboard so was only looking at these smaller models.

This doesn't mean no teflon?
