  I'm always wondering if you need one of these if your garden has a hose (with good pressure).
  I didn't really understand its purpose in this scenario but I have seen my neighbour using a pressure washer for his car before.

    probably not best practice to use a high pressure washer on your car's paint….

      It’s very common practice to use it on cars. Just maintain a reasonable distance from the paint and use a suitable nozzle.

        Pretty much this… have mine on the sprayer nozzle and that is perfectly fine.

    Of course, this makes a lot more pressure than a garden hose - pressure is different to flow too.

    These use less water than a garden hose whilst delivering more pressure.
