$5 per month for 5GB of data is very cheap if you're already an energy customer. $50 of international call credit included (average rate of all countries $2.16 per minute, 23 minutes credit per month, YMMV depending on the country). Optus 4G network.

Is it legal to charge a port out fee?
So we should charge them $8 port in fee then.
Tried to activate esim last night when i received the qr code and it failed 🤷♂️
Fwiw, I contacted their CS (twice months apart) via chat about apple watch cellular and have been told it's available, and for free. A quick agl forum check and their two is saying it isn't available lol…
Sounds like a fun time ahead..
It is, for sure, a joke. $5 per month for 5GB of data is very expensive whether or not…
I just get Cashrewards to pay me for my monthly (4 weekly) sim with at least 30 Gig of data.
Can't tell if you're trolling
If you cant prove then 'Shut up and take my comment'. I see you are trolling and this is how I bent you. Good luck.
Rightio
AGL - Optus: a march made in heaven /s.
I switched my energy provider because AGL insisted on charging me with their new rates as they said they couldn't keep my old rates in the new property. Which effectively pushed my bills around 50% more per month. Why anyone still stayed with their ridiculous rates baffled me.
Every provider does that, particularly if you're changing who the network owner is. It sucks, but I've never seen one who didn't.
I went from Jemena to Ausnet and my rates went through the roof, but I also couldn't find anyone as cheap as what I was on when my network was Jemena. Retailer didn't matter at all.
Esim?
What about it?
Just registered this for my partner yesterday. Effortless. Took literally 20 mins to port out from vodafone to AGL using the esim. And 5$ pm is pretty good. Worth noting that they will automatically recharge 1GB data if you cross the 5gb and charge you 10$. Have set a hard limit on her phone to only use 4.8 gb of mobile data.
$8 port out fee, don’t ask me why I know.
