Yeah always buy the Kirkland ones. Britta is only German design, but made in China.
So what’s the problem/difference made in Germany vs China?
I figure we buy enough stuff from china already. And China likes to buy our food because even their impressive patriotism is iffy on some of their own stuff (see baby food topic).
@incipient: Based on the house auction I went to today, it's more than just baby formula unfortunately.
And they fit Brita jugs?
Yep
kirkland ones are no longer made in germany, if you look at US costco website. Its now made in UK. But the australia website changed its wording as origin in germany and doesnt want to state where its made in.
Can you order online at Costco using a friend / family member's membership then deliver to a different address?
Yes
Great price!
The Kmart filters are already $5 each.
Compatible one $3.30ea after cashback not long ago. I recently realised that Brita Brand may be a rip-off. These filters are really of low tech and can be easily copied.
Any chance to get this price online? or is it store only?
I live 40min away from Costco :/
Probably easiest to log in to their website and check
Just get Kmart ones. Cheaper
Very frustrating they redesigned the shape a decade back.
I still have 2 of my old ones and they are perfectly fine condition, even the third party filters are now very expensive
Guys - get an undersink system and then buy filters once a year. Cheaper and a hell of a lot easier. I used to mess around with those filter jugs but it's way too much hassle compared to using a filter tap.
Hi mate, could you please share a link the one you're referring to. Thanks
I got one a few years ago from here: https://psifilters.com.au/collections/twin-undersink-premium
Then I get replacement filters usually from ebay, although it probably worth getting a few extra filters at the same time.
They say to change filters every six months but I've found once a year is enough (at least with Perth water).
The Kirkland ones are still made in Germany, even for a bit more, they seem like the better buy.
