Never order again. The quality of products… Eewwww… Not worth it

    • +1

Its the same products on ebay/ali

      • Not really. Not as cheap as temu… But useless

        • same products, same quality, probably coming from same factory in china

      • +3

Wouldnt say the same. Actually worse. Temu is like the knock off of the Ali knock off of the Ali product

    • The knock off Lego minifigs are good - especially some of the really old ones that have been replicated. Makes me miss Lepin.

      • what happened to lepin? did they close

        • Chinese authorities caved into LEGO's demands and raided the factory hidden on a hotel floor. Disappointing as they were releasing old sets, like the wild west fort.

I'll agree with this, absolutely landfill quality on the most part

      • +1

So buying casual shoes would be unwise?

        • +2

If you hate your feet and posture I'd say go for it

    • +2

It’s the same as any other market place. I always go by the images in the reviews

      • +1

Probably paid reviews… But my experience twice with every product ordered, was not good.

      • +2

Reviews are also heavily skewed, they are likely largely fake, but more importantly, if you leave a negative review, Temu doesn't post it, rather they just refund you immediately to shut you up.

I tried to leave 1 star reviews and they were never published.

        • +2

I’ve also reviewed 1 star and it was never published

          • +1

@chakel: Also love their review are sorted by 'recommended' rather than most recent, so anyone who does get a negative one through gets buried down the bottom

    • It's hit & miss, but it's free return for the 1st item of each order, so it's actually great. If it's faulty, etc, they even refund without having to return the item.

Some products exceeded our expectation. For example: if you buy genuine leather handbag, the quality is very good and it's worth every cent, especially if you paid with coupon or even got it for free from playing the games (fishland / farmland). Other item, such as smart watch, smart scale, Lenovo headset, etc, they are all good & worth it.

      • if you buy genuine leather handbag

If something is called "genuine leather", that means it contains some percentage of animal hide. Frequently considerably less than 100%. Definitions vary, Wikipedia lists some here:
        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leather#Grades

"Genuine Leather" can refer to bicast leather, which is a layer of plastic (polyurethane or vinyl), with a thin layer of split leather bonded to the plastic.

I just wanted to alert everyone that "Genuine Leather" is not what it sounds like.

I would like to disagree.. everything I have bought so far has been amazing you can check my previous comments etc so you know this is not a paid review. Things I have bought include.

      • No show socks & gold chain around waist for females & night ambience lights & samsung wireless charger(not as fast as my samsung wireless but it charges samsung watch and 2 devices)
      • White singlets
      • USB - C charger
      • Led lights
      • The large water bottles
      • Apple watch charger
      • random lingerie for the missus eg panties and other bedroom items
      • clippers, small cute bins for the room and car
      • gps trackers
      • 8 different s ultra cases

I haven't had any issues with Temu orders so far. They've all been exactly as described, which may be because I always check images of other reviews first. Shipping usually takes less than 10 days. To each their own, but I always ask myself if I can get something on Temu before I buy it from another store now.

      • Oh +as a lot of asian websites go they do like to add a lot of nonsense gambling opportunities. From my experience they give you the best outcome always until you actually redeem it then it seems quite random for example the paypal $100 bonus is legitimate but to obtain it is much harder than you think. Referred 8 people to receive the bonus but they gave me massive boosts. Next time I tried looks like you need over 50 referrals in 24hours. Not too hard for those stocking up those free sim cards though :)

    • i ordered a TV that looked 130 inch big from Temu. Came barely 13mm. seems they look a really good close up pic of the TV.

Installed the app (not on my main device thank god) after a friend was chasing a referral promo. That app is pure cancer. Never again.

    • +4

Don't you want to spin the wheel 4000 more times though?

      • +1

Their website is the worst, no way I'm installing the app. The spin gave me a $100 bundle surprise surprise, I got the best prize!

        • +1

just share with 4… +2, +2, +2, +2, +2, +2, +2 friends who never used this app before to claim!!

  • +2

    Returning customers 2.8%.

Temu is the same as Aliexpress for the type of things I buy, not sure what stuff people are buying that has wildly different quality to ebay/ali/whatever cheap crap. Good news is they've made Ali need to offer more comparable shipping which is a win win as I prefer their app (though it's also getting a bit silly with the 'promos' etc).

  • Hmmm have given them a miss in the past, but maybe time to get some cheap woodworking stuff

    Thanks OP

  • A lot of stuff we got has been good. Simple costume jewellery, craft stuff, garden things.
    No electronics.

  • this is a weekly "bonus" rate, usually nobody bothers posting it

  • I saw an instagram reel claiming Temu may be stealing data from our phones. This video explains more: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cxd-mgRrNwT/?igshid=YTUzYTFiZ…
I haven't checked if the claim made in that video is supported by any real evidence, but no harm exercising a little caution when things are too good to be true.
