Why use a low profile jack for a cross member? Low profile jack is normally used to get under the sills of sports cars, not to get the entire jack under the car.
505mm raised is pretty high for most jacks! Perfectly suitable for all sedans and most mid size SUV's etc.
What vehicle are you lifting
This. Probably.
Damn, I want that socket set..
But first, I now need some damn garage shelves!
Why do you need shelves to own a tool set?
I don't have any space left in the house.. 😅 I literally have a toolbox and socket set unopened in the boot on my car.. along with my old mans walker so there's only enough room left for a bag and some groceries.. 🤣
Sounds like those shelves should be the priority.
Surely the tool kit would squeeze under the bed though?
@mapax: Under the bed is loaded with boxes.. Considering how expensive food is nowadays, I might have some room in the fridge.. 😅 Or I could keep it sealed/unopened and use it as step/doormat between garage and house. 🤣
@WasBargain: Store each socket on a bolt/nut of appropriate size all over the house.
No torque wrench in socket set?
I have about a dozen socket sets and none of them have torque wrenches
Fair enough.
Torque wrench is more of a specialized tool, not something you would find in your common socket set.
beware that thing is heavier than your mum.
And as loud too!
Jack said he would happily help your momma out anytime with her spare tyres
Is there an Ozbargain favourite for the jack but something around the 2,000kg range?
costco
I have the Jack and similar socket set. The socket set is great value.
The Jack on the other hand, doesn't lift high enough when jacking from the crossmember
