How did you get them to reduce price to 330?
Dont know how to post picture. I emailed the manager from JB hifi shop. You will manage to get a good price if you bought a lot from them. I got discount all with gifted card for my ecovacs t20 at $1170 so i can ask them do better price with other earphone.

I dont know. It seems they have different approaches with ANC. It is totally fine with music on and you less of picky. But you still hear some background noise. Some graph does show it did not do better than xm4 and worse than other bose.
Good thing, no pressure build up when ANC so i may think it is the case.
I love the sound so I still keep it but just feel at price point, it should do it better with ANC

@snuke: Xm4 seem block very well noise with low and high frequency. However, the xm5 only block the upper range, that you still can hear background noise if music is paused. You can feel only a subtle ANC.
Great thing about it is we no longer have pressure suction in your ear when ANC activated.

Going form XM3s to XM4s I notice a large improvement in all ANC, it makes far more of the spectrum feel completely dead.As for pressure, I thought the XM4 had the vent as well. I am not feeling any pressure with them. I know it's one of those things where some people are affected, and others aren't though.
May be in the tips. I have the xm4 and thought the ANC was average for a year until I changed form stock tips to silicone ones. Absolute game changer for me, now they are my favourite thing YMMV

The Comply TrueGrip Pro Memory Foam Replacement Ear Tips are the best available, but don't last long.
There are three sets (S, M, L) in a pack, and all seem to fit perfectly. So, even considering the memory foam eventually disintegrates, a pack will last a while.If bought through Amazon, you can change them within 12M.

I agree the ANC seems to be different compared to Airpods and Galaxy buds.
There are sounds the sony can remove completely, but the other's could not.
Can you get the mics working on Windows via Bluetooth?

I have the XM3s, (both WH & WF) and they both work fine as far as mic and Windows BT are concerned.
interesting… the mic didn't show up on my work laptop when I last tried it (the WF's)
might try pairing them again to see how it goes

Nah, i have collection of eartip due to a pain pathway with 1ER z1r. It fits perfectly but ANC is still the same.

I got the feeling it isn't actually a gift car, just a temp credit card. And I can't use it as one because I only put $350 on it and was just going to pay the remainder. May have had to have put 365 on it I think and take the few $ loss.
Yep have to use it as a Credit Card. Came to $361.15 for me including $5 delivery, paid with $362 gift card.
You have to use the credit card option since that isn't a gift card.
I just went in store and used it as a credit card, and got them to add the 15% off if that helps you man
their website is absolute garbage- I converted the Ultimate home gift card to Good guys gift card at store so I can use this 15% promo which ends today

Upgraded from the WF-1000XM4s and love them. Definitely better sound quality, larger sound stage and great bass. The larger drivers show their worth. I had to increase the size of the buds I use compared to the XM4s though (M to L) . The best fitment for me was to use the Comply Tx200s. Tried the truegrips and they weren't a great fit for my ears.
It seems like the gift card discounts are over at 5 pm. SO SAD :(

Caution, the xm4s have a known battery dying issue, and sonys refused to comment on if they fixed it for the xm5.
Having also owned the previous versions of these, the xm3, they simply didnt hold a candle to the galaxy buds, and I couldnt be understood on phone calls on the busy city. I returned mine.
Their over ear cans remain best in class for noise cancelling. Well, the previous gen that folds down, that is.
Sony took the most popular commuter headphones in the world and made them less commuter friendly.
That and they dont even bring their flagship tvs to aus anymore (x95l, for instance).
Im really questioning their design choices of late.
sonys refused to comment on if they fixed it for the xm5.

I returned these for a pair of Jabra Elite 10s that I'm much happier with. They protrude a lot less into your ear but somehow the ANC is almost as strong. Much grippier surface than the XM5s and also better app in my opinion. Jabra do a 100 day return if you order directly with them, they sent it to me via DHL.
got one in store and paid on ultimate gift cards that won't do online payment as CVV code not working.

got em yesterday. had some store cash so $336, unfortunately missed out on gift card deal.
Saw some complaints but the tips seem to be suited to my ears as the ANC is quite strong. I walked into my gym and drove around with the windows down.
Not an audiophile by any means but the sound quality is fantastic, best wireless set of buds I've ever tried.
Definitely a step up over my galaxy buds 1. Good set of EQ options.The worst thing is setting up the headphones connect app, typical data harvesting bs.
