[PC, EA App] Titanfall 2 Ultimate Edition $3.99 @ EA

1340

In case you missed the recent Steam deal here (like I did), it looks like EA still have the game on sale for $3.99 via the EA App.

PS. Not sure when the expiry is for this deal.

Worth it! Been having an absolute blast playing this. Haven’t had a Que longer than 30 seconds to get a game.

Glad to hear. I haven't played the original but am interested in the campaign version in Titanfall 2. I saw a video on YouTube the other day and was impressed… couldn't believe that it was using the Source engine.

The campaign is amazing. As someone who is not particularly a fan of fps games, I really enjoyed the campaign (finished it on the highest difficulty).

As someone who got pelted with "YOU NEED TO PLAY THIS GAME" from just about everyone, i caved in a few months ago and that campaign was freaking awesome.

    • Same. But I lost interest in about 30 minutes.

Lol you got downvoted for not liking a game. Some ppl on this website are truly "special".

Put you back to 0 after someone downvote you

If you ever wanted to play a game were you become best buddies with a 5m tall murder machine this is the one

Friends just bought iot during th recent Steam sale, which I missed out on, thanks OP!

    • You're welcome.

(just sitting here waiting for it to download… all 46GB of it!)

      • Same…. EA pipes are weird, fluctuating speeds between a minimum 12KB/s (816 hour download) and 70MB/s (12 minute download).

        • +2

70MB/s! I wish I could get those kinda speeds. I'm on a crappy FTTN connection that maxes out at 5MB/s.

It's because depending on which RSP you are with many of the big ones have steam caching servers here in Aus, but none of them have EA caching servers, so anything from EA will be coming to you via undersea cable (all working with the assumption that your using NBN)

Hasn’t been a better fps campaign since this released.

    Brilliant game.

    • I wish the campaign was a lot longer.

I would mostly replay one or two specific missions only after the second play through.

I really dig what they did, not just with the Titans, but the other aspect of the game where it gets really creative half way through. It’s a portion of the guy where playing it first time through was a wonder and really sets it apart from other FPS games.

Only negative, besides short run time, is that one boss fight (you know the one if you have played it!).

The controls and mechanics are also spot on once mastered using the guides.

Your probably right. But Doom Eternal and Metro is pretty good.

I do rate the FPS Resident Evil 7 & Village highly too. But both of those have some dull sections.

The new Modern Warfare 2019 was also a fun playthrough.

    • Got tf2 ultimate ed in 2020 for $13.
Pretty unique good game, need to sit down again and continue on the campaign. Weren't too many people online last time I tried it but maybe it's picked up again.

  • Is it worth buying from EA or Steam?

    • Pretty sure you still need Origin even if you buy from Steam

    • The advantage of EA games on Steam is that they have Steam achievements and trading cards. The disadvantage is double DRM, 2 500MB RAM clients have to be open to play a single game.

Some newer Ubisoft games on Steam have achievements but they are also afflicted with double DRM.

  • Already have the Standard edition, Ultimate worth it still ?

  • +1

    Thanks OP just purchased.

  • +1

Just FYI, people with Xbox game pass subscription have this automatically included as part of "EA Play with Gamepass".

    Enjoy!

    • Only standard edition though?

  • Can you get this deal on ps5?

  • 5 by 5.

  • great game!

  • Unbelievable deal. Even multiplayer rocks.
