I have both, DeWalt for tools I use alot (drills, blower) ryobi for tools I don't use as much. Ozito for tools that are a once a year use. I have a very layered approach lol

I do the same, I got a Dewalt impact/drill/grinder/battery for $250 all my other stuff is Ryobi (ive used plenty of Ryobi stuff for odd jobs then returned to Bunnings)

I very much doubt that a 5S1P pouch can beat a 5S2P 18650.
You're probably seeing it beat a 5S1P 18650 due to slightly lower internal resistance in the pouch cells.
18650 cells discharge rates can't match LiPo packs. This is the reason LiPo packs are used for drones. LiPo can drain at 20C+. A 18650 cell at most can do low single digit C drainage.
