    • I don’t think you can price match using this link. It’s not the same item.

      • -7

Pretty much the same. What else do you want to check aside from your weight reflecting on your mobile phone.

    • +6

While an extreme example, that's like linking a 1992 Kia Rio saying it's cheaper than a 2023 Ferrari Aventador.

      • -8

Jesus, both are the same but different brand. They both exactly just show your weight and reflect on mobile app. No real advantage.

If you think that Kia can do exactly what the ferrari can do, I WILL BUY you two Ferrari, otherwise, be my slave for 10 years lol.

        • +1

          Big difference

The Withings one has a lot of integrations and many metrics. It’s not just weight and body comp estimates

          • -2

            @Soldier: Hey Soldier,

Can you show here what integrations and many metrics that you can justify its really worth it? And based on your goal. Show me some before and after result of yourself. Then I might try to buy this.

        • +5

I have both (or should I say had, as I gave away the Renpho once I got the Withings one).

Renpho does not integrate with Garmin connect, while Withings does through Healthsync. Also doesn't have a graph showing progress on the scale display, including weather.

It also doesn't have wifi sync. I just step on my Withings, my weight is recorded and automatically syncs to the app.

Withings is the much better scale, and it's worth the premium.

          • +2

@Lucille Bluth: You can send data from Renpho > MyFitnessPal> Garmin.

I'm quite happy with renpho. I understand the benefit of wifi but Not a big deal to open the phone to sync.

Looked at Withings but the metrics are the same. Have a Withings blood pressure monitor.

          • -1

@Lucille Bluth: Man, you are literally behind.

            Go check your renpho again.

            • +1

@Fredfloresjr: I'm not sure why you are upset others have a preference and why you are taking it so personally and being defensive?

Just use whatever scale you want that works for you. If that's Renpho then good. I've had the experience in owning and using both and know which I prefer.

Let people decide what's right for them and what they want to spend their money on. For many, an el cheapo $8 analogue one from Kmart meets their need.

As for me, I prefer to have a scale that syncs automatically with the scale with wifi without having to worry about it, plus the info on the screen with historic graphs and weather information without needing to whip out my phone. Plus personal taste, I prefer the look of it in my bathroom. These tick my boxes and why I gave mine away.

              Enjoy your weekend.

              • @Lucille Bluth: Did you use both scales side by side? I'm just curious about the accuracy. My Renpho does the job, but the metrics all have the same exact pattern.

                • +1

@subbeh: They are both fine. I feel analogue scales are more accurate though compared to digital and less likely to get a slightly different reading when stepping on in quick succession

    • Renpho one is really good, I have read a comparison with a industrial one around $500 or so, they were pretty close in bio impedence readings (take note these are not that accurate in any scale, they are for guidance only, raw readings are interpreted with different statistical models). Also it can seemlessly integrate with Samsung Health and export data as CSV. I got it for around $30 and can't complain.

    • +6

Trust me, I thought the same thing and I actually have that Renpho scale, the biggest downfall with the Renpho scale is that it doesn't automatically record your weight onto the app, you need to remember to bring your phone open the app before jumping on the scale, as it uses Bluetooth. With the Withings Scale, it is Wifi, it will automatically sync it to you app. Might seem like a small thing but it's actually a huge benefit.

      • -1

I have the Renpho and the next time you remember to sync it’ll show you all the previous unsynced measurements and give you the option to record them. Also writes to Apple Health, which is all I need.

      • It's a big thing if you weight everyday. Also you need to make sure there's wifi signal where you put the scale.
The measurements get to garmin a few seconds after weighting.

  • +1

    Thanks OP bought one

  • -6

Great scale except for the daily BMI fat shaming.

I have it sync through to my Garmin connect by pushing data from withings health to myfitnesspal to Garmin.

    • +3

How is a scale that provides your body fat percentage fat shamming? It's not like it automatically shares that information to social media. With that same logic, wouldn't all human scales which by design are used for the purpose of knowing your weight, be categorised as fat shaming? Toughen up princess

      • -7

Sheesh. Was having a laugh you freak.

        • Have a cheeseburger to claim down

    • +2

So, the BMI is a great feature. I was having a laugh. Great scale. Great price. Great insights via app.

  • I bought this for the same price almost a year ago. Love the convenience of being able to just step on it and it’ll sync the data automatically to the cloud.

  • If you’re happy looking at your graphs in Apple Health (and whipping out your phone each time for a seamless and trouble free Bluetooth connection) the Renpho scales off Amazon are very good for under half the price

    • -1

I posted the link and get negged.

      • Oh yeah, weird. I find mine quite literally flawless.

      • +3

That was less about the product and more about the way it was posted.

Yeah it's a cheaper smart scale but it's not the same thing. The Withings is handy because it's wifi enabled so you can just step on it without screwing around with devices.

        • -1

Man, Renpho is doing the same. Just download the app. The result will show straight to your mobile phone.

Edit: Happy to take photos/videos for you. I have been doing this for several years now.

          • @Fredfloresjr: Pretty sure you need to bluetooth to the Renpho for that to happen, the Withings is wifi connected and just detects who is on it and automatically syncs to your health app.

You like your Renpho………. cool……….. I'm sure it's a good option, for some the Withings is a little more appealing and it's at a good price.

            • @dav3: All Good.

As long as they use it to improve their weight. Otherwise, meh.

  • +2

Can these sync to Samsung Health?

    • Yes, I've used Withings to sync data with direct integration to Samsung Health and also via Health Connect.

      • How does it tell who is using this scale?

        • +3

The scale guesses who is using based on the weight, if the weight is too similar between 2 people the scale will give the option to pick which profile to sync the weight by selecting using the left or right foot.

  • I guess we all know by now that your weight is not an accurate reflection of your progress, right? Especially if you’re weight training. All it did was trigger me and demotivate my desire to stay on track. Stop looking at the scales and start measuring your waist.

    • Many reasons to check weight - eg see if you have side effect to ADHD meds, managing anorexia nervosa, checking to see if you have too much fluid onboard for your heart failure

In addition to that, can be helpful to monitor progress of children, and assist with weight loss.

Your one example or suggestion isn’t actually that helpful to many other people using these scales.

  • Weighing this up. Should I scale up? Could be heavy on the wallet.

  • +1

Just FYI these are somewhat end of life.

Withings have a new range on the way. In particular, thier body scan (which will be 5-6x more expensive) but finally just got FDA approval in the USA. Can tell you the fat percentages in your arms separately to your legs.

    • The problem with any type of scales that claim to determine your body fat percentage is they can be wildly inaccurate and at best off by 1-2%. Same rings true for smartwatches that claim to do the same thing

      • Theres a difference between accuracy and precision. If it has the latter and not the former, its still useful.

  • How would this compare to a Eufy P2 (wifi)? We have one at home that occasionally glitches out and gives all sorts of whacky BF % numbers and mixes up identifying users of the scale.

Does anyone have experience with multiple users on the Withings?

  • -1

Those 3-5 members trying to justify that paying extra $50 is worth it. Here you go. And next time, please share your progress with your “special features that it does really help you”

I have been using Renpho since 2019 and managed to lose 30kgs. The only significant numbers you want to see is your WEIGHT in KG period.

  • Got the Eufy and Xiaomi before…. Not sure what the difference is with this one

  • Much better than Fitbit's POS that die in a short time with no support. My Withings has been going strong for a few years now without even a single recharge.
