This will remain as unapproved cashback for ages!

    • +19

      Couldn't agree more!

      • It'll remain unapproved for months after the expected date.
      • You'll raise a claim with all the supporting evidence.
      • You'll wait another 2+ months, chasing them up a couple of times a week.
      • They'll send you the same shit**y canned reply they've used from a template of approved scripts, phrased in a way to try and make you feel like you're important to them but it means sweet FA.
      • After you've done your head in playing cat and mouse chasing them up, they'll finally come back to you with another rejected response because apparently the merchant couldn't track the purchase.
      • You'll threaten them with yet another formal complaint to Fair Trading along with legal action after showing them again the screen recording of the transaction, which proves that you've done everything correctly.
      • They'll then come back to you with an email from whoever has been screwing you around for months on end, and they'll have the audacity to say they've approved it as a "goodwill gesture".

They're a bunch of crooks and will do whatever they can to double dip their commissions by rejecting these upsized and Westpac bonus cashbacks for as long as it takes for you to forget about it.

Normal cashbacks? Guaranteed approval. Upsized and Westpac bonus cashbacks? Forget it.

        Couldn't agree more!

@KangaDrew Nailed it. I'm getting flashbacks

      • +2

Gotta say, Westpac deals seem ok for me but yes agreed the $3 thing is a rip and waste of time. First time I complained they didn’t ask anything and just did it. 2nd time it was a whole show and pony waste of time bull crap. I don’t do them anymore due to it

      • +1

        wow are you me

      • +1

So glad to see I'm not the only one! I was starting to feel like I was all alone dealing with their bullsh**.

      • +1

Is not even worth my time chasing up a missed cashback these days as you get the run around and waste hours trying to get it. For it to just be denied anyway.

    • +2

Yeah. Feel hopeless for Ebay and Amazon.

  • +1

    Meh.

    • +2

This challenge will run until 31 Dec. Not ideal now, but save it and stack them when there are eBay upsize cashbacks and bonus cashback on eBay gift cards

      • And Westpac bonus (if available) as an encore 🫠

      • +2

        1500 slots though

        • +1

No, it is a competition, first 1500 who complete the purchase.

          • @Neoika: Gotta be in it to win it. I've started the 'challenge'.

      • Good idea. Saved.

  • +3

Stack with $5 eBay plus voucher?

  • +1

I don't see it in my challenge list

Nevermind, need to click see more

  • Stack with code?

  • +1

why does mine start at ~$27.xx remaining to spend immediately after starting the challenge?

    • +2

Excludes GST from the calculated amount

  • Good deal, eBay SB tracking has been pretty flawless for me.

  • Only 279 claimed despite stacking with the 15% Westpac offer, slow days

    • I'm curious how it will go once the tracking starts coming through for Saturday, my guess is that there will still be rewards available.

      • That's assuming anything tracks lol

        • Still only 363 so far but mine tracked and the challenge was completed, still waiting for one more that I made later in the day.

  • Can we use ebay gift cards?

  • +1

Made my purchase at ~5PM yesterday and the app showed ~1100 of 1500 claimed, but still missed out. The actual cash back still hasn't tracked for me yet, and yet a family member purchased ~10 minutes afterwards had their purchase tracked (but they also missed out on the bonus).
Shopback really has to do something about this major delay in tracking, especially for limited spots bonus cashbacks. Basically a lottery and even with 400 slots it was still a lost bet. Pretty frustrating!

    • Another day, another "Oops, my bad, let me see who I can blame so I don't have to honour your cashback" from Shopback. 😒
